When I moved up to the Northern Territory my dislike for the Dockers weakened. I think it's mainly because I do not have to deal with their feral and deluded supporters. In fact, over the last two years I have been secretly proud that they have been giving those pricktorians a lesson or two.

I only derive satisfaction from seeing them lose, because I know that my fellow Eagles supporters back in the West will not have to deal with their misplaced arrogance and will be skewering the pain of finals losses into their purple hearts, which is just given that they did it to us for so many years.

This one. Last year they made the GF and even though they lost it gave them some cred. I felt sick seeing them run out onto the G on GF day. The whole ridiculous purple haze rubbish hung like a dirty fog over GF week and then afterwards they immediately started talking themselves up for 2014. It was just a shitty week.
This year was awesome..straight sets, no bragging rights..just a big thud back down to earth and lots of very bruised egos and those massive shoulder chips just got alot heavier hehe. I'm really enjoying the finals now, really hope norf and port get through and upset the applecart.

I just can't get over their sense of entitlement for this year. The amount of freo flogs I had to listen to in the off season telling me about how they already had GF tickets booked and flights sorted etc, just assuming they have some right to be there again. Thy all looked shocked last night when thy realised they blew it and season over. I loved every minute of it, and will continue to bask in their many chokes and failures!!!!

Even we managed to win our last two games this year.

I voted this year. For two main reasons.

1) The smugness of all this year is now starting to turn into fear they've wrecked their main chance. They got a very cushy draw this year. Like Geelong, that got found out in finals.
2) they are now the last team to drop out in straight sets, an unenviable record we held since 2007. Thanks, freo!
Id be signing as long a contract as possible if I were guy McKenna. That way, when mr Lyon comes a calling, he gets a nice pay out from the Gold Coast/afl.

This one. Last year they were every neutral supporter's sentimental favourite. Bloody sick making. This year they were just another team. My favourite part of Saturday's game was when the crowd started to try and get the chant going to rev up the players in the last quarter. But that death chant of theirs sounds pretty damn stupid when the team is losing.

What was everyone's favourite moment? Mine was the Robbie Gray free kick and goal. Loved the reaction of the Freo supporters when he got the second shot. Freo fans are always the first to give us shit for booing, but they vehemently deny doing so themselves.

This one , they had Port on their knees and had 30+ point lead even with their shitty choke-filled goal kicking and the pain of losing from 6 goals up is shattering . No-one likes to lose this way .

The sheer fact that Freo flogs have been talking about "How to win in finals" and talking about GF's like they know everything about winning one made this Port loss epic....A lot of them had the flag pencilled in.....

This year ! I hated the constant freo flag favourite news and attention with it in the off season and will the eagles make finals articles .

We finished the year with our tails up and a game plan coming together that is high scoring and exciting to watch .

Freo finished in a big pile of purple shit and the stink will permeate off them all summer !

In the end we won as many finals as the purple flogs and I can't wait for preseason as we have so much upside and they are trying to plug holes in a race against time before they fall off a cliff and Lyon leaves them in a hole like the saints
