McGrath looking like a liability for NSW. Wonder how they'd have gone with Lindwall instead.

The sim certainly seems biased towards high strike-rate bowlers ahead of good E/Rs. However, you raise something which is worth pointing out - in reality, the bigger the squad, the more likely NSW comes out on top. If this were a real tournament, you'd need something like an 18 man squad to play this many matches - injuries, poor form, etc. - and with every player the squad has to add, the further ahead NSW gets. When it's just 12 men, some of the other teams stand a better chance, and I would say Transvaal's balance is actually better. But once its gets to about 15 or 16, NSW is at an advantage because the four players they add in would comfortably fit in their first XI as well.
