There were some good reviews on here after the first NAB game and then all I read after the second one is he'll be lucky to not get delisted at years end.

Tough crowd.
Which was just silly. Ridiculous to think any forward was going to excel with what happened in that game.

Lost his patience a bit - as long as he can keep that in check, he'll be fine this season.

He's got a lot of work to do, because he won't be able to stand up through enough AFL tackles and bumps to get shots and assists, assuming he can run out a game.

Still think Lamb will surprise a lot of you. I expect he'll be a permanent player in the squad, well before the conclusion of the season.
I'm optimistic. He's certainly the right sort of player for a spot we need filled. I imagine Sumner will be one competing with him for that place too, along with Smith to a degree. Can probably have two of those three in the side without much problem if they are all fit and firing.

Plowman - appears to be the best placed of the lot but spends a fair bit of time in the medical room, if he can stay on the park long enough he should be a winner.

Phillips - he's a monster & has some real aggression but needs to impose himself around the ground as well as at stoppages, I'm on the fence with this one but really hope he comes on in leaps & bounds.

Sumner - not totally convinced that he will get there but there is a place in the team for him if he wants it bad enough

Jaksch - this guy really worries me, has the skills & the height but is still too thin, I have a bad feeling he may end up being just another very good VFL player

Whiley - I originally had high hopes for him after watching him play some really solid games for GWS just before he was traded, my enthusiasm has waned somewhat but he may still get there

Lamb - if I had to put the kiss-of-death on one of them it will be this chap, third club and hardly fired a shot at the previous two, it's time to piss or get off the pot

Lamb - Nah, poor work rate and has been discarded by 2 clubs already

I may be remembering it wrong, but wasn't Lamb highly rated at Sydney & GWS poached him?

Mmmm poached lamb

At this stage, Jaksch, Plowman and The Screwdriver. I've just about put a red line through Whiley, there's been enough on field evidence to suggest that he's only a state league player (at best)

Jaksch will be fine, beautiful booming kick (Christ knows we need players who have depth on their kicking) but I think he is one of those taller types that is a late bloomer/takes longer to mature.

Sumner could go either way, but does have a bit of aggro about him, which I like.

IIRC, was squeezed out by salary cap. Swans offered him a contract but GWS offered him more.

GWS picked him up in the PSD as an FU to the Swans for poaching Buddy.

I don't think the Swans would have been crying over it, but I guess they would have happily kept him or expected to get some trade value back.

He was highly rated and was almost a regular after the 2012 flag I think (or 2013), but they seemed happy to see him go, didn't try hard to retain him and GWS clearly weren't phased.

I don't doubt his ability, I just don't rate his work off the ball.

No.

Poor man's Henderson.
I'm going to be watching him closely this year. I've always thought he had a really high ceiling and would eventually be good enough to be in just about any team's best 22, but will be interesting to see how he plays this year given he clearly wanted to move.

Well, he ain't got the footy smarts to find the pill.

GWS had to put him into the middle to get anywhere near it last week.

Reminds me of James Sellar atm.

I thought he showed something in the second half. Took a couple of nice marks and finished with a couple of goals.
Might be hard for him to get a game in that forward line with Patton, Cameron and Stewart all ahead of him in the pecking order.

He took 2 marks.

Tall forward, can take a mark, nice kick...............goes missing for quarters.

Can't play anywhere else.

Wouldn't be selling the farm for him.
