Jacko telling someone they don't have the mental capacity for a conversation is the height of irony.

Not huge on Sheehan, but fu** Jacko makes it hard to not look at him like a loudmouth knobhead.

Funnily enough Jacko makes some really good points in that interview.

Yeah couple good points, but also doesn't listen to or answer a few things. Don't know it does his side a world of good.

JB was North president at the time the AFL wanted to punt them to the gold coast. Caro was the AFLs media mouthpiece. Should be easy to fill in any remaining blanks.
Yep that and the hatred the Wilson family has for North Melbourne due to Keith Grieg winning the Brownlow instead of Kevin Bartlett in 1974 are the reason why she hates North.

Hmm that sounds more like North supporter crazy talk to me but ok if you say so.
The story is from the 1974 Brownlow medal count; Caro's old man was the president of Richmond in 1974. Richmonds Kevin Bartlett had won most of the media awards during the year and was expected to win the Brownlow; come Brownlow night North Keith Greig won the Brownlow instead of Bartlett. When it was announced that Greig won the Brownlow, the Richmond table booed and hissed Greig's win, and later the North and Richmond officials got into a punchup outside the venue.

The Tigers were ruthless and arrogant and why wouldn't they be? They were at the peak of their powers in 1974, coming off premierships in all three grades of the VFL the year before. President Ian Wilson, secretary Alan Schwab and powerbroker Graeme Richmond had their way of doing things and it worked.

But heading into that year's Brownlow Medal count (the event was held after the final round of the home and away season until 1978), the Tigers were the most disliked club in the League, partly due to their success, their lack of humility (from the administration) and their part in the Windy Hill brawl earlier that year.

They were despised even more after the count, beautifully stage-managed by the League when Greig won with the last vote of the night.

As soon as the count was over, Tiger secretary Schwab and committeeman Charlie Priestley booed and hissed. Once outside the ballroom, Joseph, the North secretary, challenged them and he and Priestley, a feisty former Richmond premiership player, then scuffled and nearly came to blows. Schwab summed up the mood at Tigerland, telling The Age's Mike Sheahan: "It's a joke. Greig deserved to win a Brownlow but not this year."

The behaviour of the Richmond officials outraged the rest of the League. Terry Vine, the sports editor of the afternoon daily newspaper, The Herald, wrote in the next day's edition: "There is a sickening sensation in the gut today over Richmond's reaction to Keith Greig winning a second Brownlow Medal last night...an outburst of sour grapes and wretched sportsmanship not from the players but the responsible officials."

Bartlett told the AFL Record he was embarrassed by the outburst from the Richmond officials, for which they would later apologise.

"I was favourite to win, but they (the League) shuffled the votes and I lost and that aggravated Wilson and Schwab. They took it as a slur on Richmond and were pretty outspoken and called it a disgrace. But I never thought that,” Bartlett said.

Any tangible evidence that Caroline has held a grudge for 45 years over this?

Whateley is great play by play caller, probably the best in the business, but 360 is just a total wankfest with both of them jerking off each other's egos. Still don't mind watching it though, although the player and coach segments are boring as bat s**t
Nope, Adam Papalia the best caller by a country mile.

Not sure if it had been mentioned here yet, I honestly just can't be bothered looking so sorry about that but here in SA Tex and Kane Cornes are having a lovers tiff.
