Lol.

So now you know the umpires jobs better than they do.

Lol. Just lol
I know the rules of the game should come before the cues umpires are given to help them correctly interpret the rules of the game.

Umpires are told to watch out for things like taking eyes off the ball as it can possibly indicate a player is playing the man not the ball. They then still have to watch the actual contact and work out if there's a free kick there.

It's like cops setting up booze buses outside popular pub areas. If you get pulled over and blow just under the limit like 0.049 you don't lose your license because the cops picked a good spot to get you and you'd had a few drinks.

2015 was meant to be your year... but still salty after so much time?

The hand holding the ball must remain stationary. Seriously. Its been that way for maybe 60 years now.

Unless you can point to a rule change in the last week?
The rule hasn't changed but it hasn't been umpired that way in many a year.

Stevie Johnson has been handballing over his shoulder for years now.

Whether it's to speed up the game or just lazy by the umpires and rules of the game committee they haven't clamped down on it.

The Heeney 'handball' 40 seconds to this vid last week to set up a goal. Clear throw.

Wish there was a way to group ignore all Hawthorn supporters on here.
Even the mods have drunk the kool aid and are completely irrational.

Bit rich coming from a supporter of a team who has been in the top 3 for free kick differentials for the past decade

#1 in all but three years.

Meanwhile Hawthorn have never been close to the top 4. :$

Lewis said it perfectly on 360 recently. If the AFL doesnt want players doing things, they should enforce the rules or change them.

So clearly the AFL is perfectly fine with throwing now. As long as it looks good.

Somehow being subjective gets lost on big footy doesn't it. So many iffy decisions favoring both teams tonight in the first, second and third quarters but everyone just focuses on the odd decision late in the game. Are we all the stupid? FFS you all sound like a pack of whining school girls. Grow up

The free against Walker was nailed in. Takes his eyes off the ball. Gave the umpire no choice.

Yup and his right arm is on the shoulder and pushes Gibson's head sideways. In the flurry of arms I think people were looking at the 3 outstretched arms and thought 2 of them were Walker's.

The one were Jenkin's threw the ball in our forward line that wasn't pinged incorrect disposal.

But wait we forgot about that one right?
Yeah, kind of like Douglas diving on the ball at Burgoyne's legs in the last few minutes, then just laying on it.....and it gets a ball up.

We must forget about that one too.

Every free kick Hawthorn got or the opposition didn't get. It's obviously an AFL direction to ensure that the Hawks win 4 in a row as they definitely want 1 team dominating the game year in year out. The fact the AFL does nothing to equalise the competition through drafting and draws is obvious to the neautral supporter that it's all about the Hawks at AFL Headquarters!

The one where Smith got tackled high by Sloan but Adelaide fans got salty cos they wanted him pinged for htb.
I've seen a few people mention this, but have watched the vision and can't see any sign of it. Clearly grabs him around the waist and is nowhere near high contact.

Clearly got both arms out and low.

smith tackle2.PNG
Clearly wraps him up around the waist and ends up with Smith's elbow on his shoulder/neck. Sloane is the only one copping high contact.
