Toast Which home and away game still soothes the soul?

I haven't seen many live games so a small sample size.

Us beating WCE when underdogs in Hobart under lights in hurricane like conditions was a real highlight.

They should have overrun us easy, but we held up extremely well and got the points.

I was pretty dusty the next day that's for sure, after an unexpected Casino visit after to celebrate...

Look it wasn’t a great match & the season was in rapid decline but I am forever grateful I flew to Melbourne for Boomer’s record breaking game. Royal blue and white passionate Shinboners everywhere.

I think was the largest gathering of our faithful for a home and away game.
Same here.

Thanks to those great people from here who made it such an awesome night. I must have met at least 20 members of this board that night.

The game against GoBraves in Rd 6, 2016. I don't think I have ever been to a more passionate match than this one. North members end were absolutely going berserk. And berserk they deserved to be!

Possibly the worst display of umpiring I have ever seen. Clear as day HTBs ignored, marks ignored... the umpiring was so bad that the North faithful booed them off during the song.

If it weren't for the umpires, this game should've been a spanking. But nonetheless, it is the best defensive effort from our boys in a while. That LMac deliberate still shits me to this day. Grr...

Was it boomers 250th when Johnson missed after the siren.
Boomer knocked out and then comes back on and kicks one of the great goals.
Brad Johnson's misses are still on YT. Enjoy!

Needs Benny Hill music lol

No wonder Johnson hates us.

It was a good night yes indeed

.... you can’t go past the McCartney Tigers game.

You want soul?

Thats soul!

That was our Premiership of the past 20 years!

If you have a spare 15 minutes and never have seen this...watch it...and see if you don’t shed a tear...what a Club

Our 125th Friday night celebration match against Collingwood was pretty special.

No Carey, just all North.
was that in 94? I went to a Fri night Coll v NM game in 1994 and it was great. Pies lead at half time but North went mental in the 2nd half andcwon by 5 goals.

I bought a 4 n 20 pie and bit straight into it without testing the temperature and scalded my mouth to the point skin was coming off.

I was only 14 then so couldnt even sooth it with beerz

“Hotis Pieus” is a rare sight at a Football Game

Love Waite. Hard to believe given the limited years and so many great players but I reckon he's in my top 4-5 favourite North players to watch over the last 10-15 years. Was pure entertainment, amazing skill and passion.
I'm with you. It's hard to know where to rate him because of his short time at the club but what a player!

The 93 season was by far my favourite season outside the premiership years. Starting the 93 season with no Captain, coach and major sponsor. One of the biggest highlights for me was going to a practice game at Arden St which was the last game I saw at the famous ground, Pagan has just taken over with a 21 year old Carey as Captain and smashing the Pies by around 80 after the Adelaide game restored the hope of the North supporters.

We had many great victories that season but the Collingwood game at Vic Park was the stand out for me, smashing the Pies by 80 odd at their home ground was a awesome day.

I think it was around round 16 or 18 when we lost to Brisbane at the Gabba when we coped a couple of injuries the wheels feel off. I still feel we could have won the flag if we peaked at the right time that year and I think we had a better team than the scum and our forward line would have been to much for them.

We beat Brisbane that day - easily - but the damage was done. Geelong got a hold of us a few weeks before, and tore us one. Our 4 combined losses up to that point were by about 20 points, Geelong won by 96 and the steam had run out.

Round 22, 1996 v Richmond. Richmond wins - they play finals. Win, lose or draw we finish 2nd. Its pretty much level at 3/4 time.

The Richmond 'faithful' expect us to go easy in the last to save ourselves for finals allowing them easy passage. The ''Army'' are up, chanting, carrying on.

We kick 9 goals to 4 in the last and completely overrun them, condemning the Toigs to another season of woe.

For mine, it’s hard to go past R7, 1999 - Payback against the Crows! It was my son’s very first game at the ripe old age of six months. At halftime, a fired-up North fan ran to the front of L2, MCG and spent five full minutes calling the Crows’s fans below “Dogs”. Great times...

BUMP!

This match doesn't get mentioned enough. The bounce, Matty Campbell, LT struggling but finding his way eventually, Ed Lower, and Thommo taking a spectacular grab...

We haven't been cheering much as of recent but this match is amazing to watch. Didak missing the unmissable is also still quite funny.

Surprised no-one nabbed this one yet.

The " Nathan Thompson " bicep flex game v the Pies at Colonial. Bucks with a late shot to give them a 24 point lead ? Missed 🤣
Then Arch, Shagga, Bommer, Wellsy, Drew, Pratty all pivotal last q.touches for victory. Alot of North supporters around us had left as it was an away game. Ground surface pretty crappy too if remembered correctly.
This was going to be mine. This one, and the 127pt win against the Hawks at the G breaking a 10-year streak of losses to them. Loved the win over Geelong in 2012 or 2013, thereabouts, where Ziebell and Cunners both kicked 4, from memory. We were on the way up after that one, and so it proved.

Richmond 2022 Saturday night at Marvel. A rare highlight during our recent horrible stretch.
We were in front for a long period of this game….Richmond hit the lead halfway through the 4th qtr. We didn’t just roll over…. The king of Marvel kicks a late goal and then Bails runs down a certain Richmond goal.. siren.. 3 point win I think!!!!! Join in the Chorus..,,,

LoL I was at that game too. Just looked it up, I mustve been in Melb for WCE game v StK at Waverley lol and hung around for a Sunday game.

I was blown away with North's 1st qtr, they definitely wanted revenge (of sorts)
