You are completely wasting your time with this topic unless you ask the question - Not including your own club, which is your favourite club song?

I don't mind the Freo song.

1. Richmond
2. Carlton
3. Adelaide
4. Collingwood

The worst ones...
1. Essendon
2. Geelong
3. Sydney
4. Port

Very true jubjub but the prob is i get to the cricketers at 9am and wander over with the army about 1.30, well stagger i should say,the first half is a blur and when i kinda figure out wots happening on the field
in the second half,
i just get pissed again, you see when you see your beloved get destroyed week after week its the only way to deal with it,but be warned you bastards we will become a power again!

This might invite torrents of abuse from other Doggies fans but I reckon that our 'new' song is pretty dicky. My two year old is word perfect on 'sons of the 'scray' but hasnt ever sung the new song.
Richmonds song is pretty cool. That "YELLOW AND BLACK" bit at the end must be great to yell out after a win. I like the Swans song, towards the end it mentions shaking thunder from the sky. I dont know why but I've always liked that bit.

So my picks
1 We're from Tigerland
2 Cheer, Cheer the red and the white.
3 Sons of the 'scray(not west)

...Son, if youre going to follow the Doggies you'll need a sense of humour...

Hey Joffa, You can't be the power thats Port Adelaide, you remember. Collingwood wouldn't let Port Adelaide be the magpies in the AFL so we called ourselves the power and now your trying to steal that name as well.

Now onto the best club song. It has to be Richmond easily. Even if the supporters don't know all the words to the song, they all know when it comes to the line yellow and black they all have to scream it out as one.

Carb,

you will find that most Tigers do know the words to this song. Those that are mouthing along until the YELLOW AND BLACK bit are the opposition supporters who get caught up in it all and can't help joining in!

I tend too like the ones that can be sung with a bit of gusto! For this reason, I also like 'It's a grand old flag' and 'Cheer Cheer the Red and the White'

Tigerland is the best song.

I hate the Carlton song with a passion. It's sung to the tune of "you are my lady love" Ughhhhh ! It's not inspiring, or majestic, or anything ! Everytime I hear it, I just think of a big pink elephant plodding along. Don't know why, I just do. Probably, becaue of that start bit of the song :

"Dum dee dum da dum
Dum dee dum da dum"

Other songs, give you goose bumps. That Carlton one just makes me wanna puke.

The blue and white vertically striped team's song...on the proviso they do the 'just for rec-a-reation's sake' bit.

Good Old C4E is the most stirring when the Maggies are firing and the Army are up and about.

The best line in any club song is (was) "Fitzroy, Fitzroy, the club we hold so dear; Premiers we'll be this year". Shame the Brisbane Lions didn't incorporate that into their song.

Actually, I reckon that every club's theme song is great, my favourite of course is the old Hearts to hearts and hands to hands. I believe that they are a great part of the game, hearing both teams' songs before the start of the game. I had some family over from England last year, and had to take them along to the G (Roos v Richmond), and they couldn't believe the crowd reaction when the songs were played..
