Hard to split them, they've all shown quite a bit, but I went for Corrie. Must have been intimidating for the young man to make his debut at the house of pain, but then to pick up a handy 15 or so possies playing basically out of a back pocket or half back flank... That ain't bad :)

Pratty's first game was against a very committed Dockers - due to injury he was asked to play a Key Forward role and at least presented himself consistently.

Much harder than floating across half back which Joel and Corrie had to do

Agree that as a debut game Pratt was probably the most impressive.

We had no Brown or Lynch and no ruckmen, our midfield got smashed so I think that to ask him to take a key role up forward was a huge expectation in his first game.

He got quite a few touches, offered himself as a target against a much bigger opponent (Hadrill, I think) and kicked one major.

Both Corrie and MacDonald were igood, but were given an easier entry by playing down back with the likes of Michael, Johnson and Leppa.

I think with these 3 and some positive signs from Adcock we have 4 players who will serve us well in the future

hmmm,

I said Pratty.
Hard day to play a first game, injured lions vs. in form dockers at subi. Cant get much harder and did provide a target which is a big ask.

Although im still not sure why the aren't playing him on the wing or Half Back as they did with Joel Mc and Corrie. He was unstoppable for us in those 2 positions during the wizard cup.

Does anyone know the answer why they havent?

Nah, I don't reckon he would be a flanker/wingman. Back Pocket will suit him.

Don't know about that. Good back pocket players tend to be either silky, 'space-creators' (Wanganeen, Bernie Smith), or punchy, explosive over short distances types with sharp skills (early Akermanis, Chris Johnson, early Pickett).

I'd be worried about him getting offloaded in heavy traffic too often if he was too deep. You only need a 2 on 1 situation in your forward 50 for 2 seconds to get an easy shot at goal. Chopper and Johno know how to ride the bumps and keep their feet.

I see him more like a young Peter Matera - or even a Nathan Brown (Dees) - get the thing at half back, pin the ears back, slip through the next line of traffic before getting it deep to the square.

Like Timmy, but with a defence.

The debate in relation to Corrie's best position indicates the
versatility he offers the team. Back pocket, half back or crumbing
forward or even a spell on the ball he has an enormous future under Leigh's management.
