Thomson ain't playing. Real shame we couldn't get him into gear, started round one but hasn't been back in since about round 3 or so. Would definitely like to get one last look at him before the end of the year.

Ill go out on a limb and say he will definetly get a game if he keeps putting in some good VFL games, and his last few have been passable, not brilliant, but they are getting better. And Dimma being a man of his word said "every" listed Richmond player will be given a chance if they put their hand up.

I still wanna see Rance show he can play at top level, same with Post.

Nahas needs to get on the steroids I reckon

Goudis, Grimes, Dea, Taylor and Roberts will all get at least 4 games for the season. Grimes had an eye problem but is gunning it in the Coburg seconds. Rance, Polo, Morton, Nahas, Post and Browne will all get their chances again later on. Simmo gone, Macca gone. Hislop Dea and Thomson have long term injuries and should be given more time to prove themselves.
Gilligan, Hicks, Contin and Westhoff are all playing well so we could see them later in the year or next year.
Polaks last game was his best for taking marks , I told him so and he said it was not good enough, whats going on, we seem to have changed the culture from near enough is good enough to we can do better, Thanks Dimma, Leppa, Ladey, Daly and Newton. As Yazz youse tu say; the only way is up.

The guys waiting in the wings are (including rookies):

Semi-regulars or injured - Foley, Moore, Webberley, Nahas, Polo, Morton, Rance

Played a handful and developing - Post, Browne, Dea, Roberts, Taylor

Yet to debut - Grimes, Gourdis, Contin, Hicks, Westhoff, Gilligan, O'Reilly

Most likely gone - Hislop, Thomson, McMahon, Polak

What's the plan for next year? Do you think Cameron and Hardwick will kull between 4-6 players or do another mass kull of 7-12?

I think a few players are changing Hardwick's plans, my initial thought at the start of the year was that the following players would or could be delisted if they hadn't improved, as from an outside perspective Hardwick wouldn't consider them as future premiership players as they turn the ball over to much or show a lack of consistency, amongst other reasons:

Connors, Collins, Edwards, Graham, Hislop, King, McMahon, Polak, Polo, Simmonds, Thomson, Tuck, and White.

However a number of these guys (Bolded) are developing or have altered their approach under Hardwick and saved their careers. Polo needs to find his mojo in the seniors in the last half of the year or he's going to be traded.

Can anyone provide an update on how Post, Browne, Roberts and Taylor are going at Coburg? I believe Dea is injured, but I'm interested to know how the others are progressing.

Browne has been good, getting better all the time. Roberts has been tracking okay, has been a bit lucky in that in some games he could easily have had four or five goals but ended up with one or two. Post hasn't been all that impressive. Taylor's been out with injuries and suspensions mainly.

Agree with everything you've said.

Probably depends a bit on what they see out there in terms of recruitment. You'd have to say that there'd be at least 5 or 6 based on your list.

If the average player has 8 years (expected 8, max 14, min 3) and you've got 40 guys on the main list, you've got to turn 5 guys over a year to maintain status quo with the age.

I don't think Dimma will want less than the 5.
