I read on a post that Bailey got 36 and the comment " what did he do to deserve it".

So what numbers are good and not so good ?

36 - 1995 Brad Scott
36 - 1996 Brad Scott
36 - 1997 Brett Howman
36 - 1998 Paul Sharkey
36 - 1999 Glenn Bowyer
36 - 2000 Barry Young
36 - 2001 Matthew Dent
36 - 2002 Michael Georgiadis
36 - 2003 Michael Georgiadis
36 - 2004 Tim Boyle
36 - 2005 Tim Boyle
36 - 2006 Max Bailey

Mocca's maginficent cursed history of 36 proved without doubt that the number should be erased for all time from the HFC.

Other than the dreaded 36, most numbers (more so the lower numbers naturally enough) have some decent footballers attached to them.

36 is like a cut-off point between a history of well performed/established players to those that never quite breached the gap from reserves/u19's to senior level.

But there's exceptions to that as well, Abbot (39) Collins (40) Platten (44) Mew (46) are just a few that made their early names in high numbers with only Eddie and the Rat not moving to lower numbers as their careers progressed.

Good?
note: no current players permitted
2 Keddie; Ablett; Mew; Holland
3 MATTHEWS; Condon (anyone else ever get 50 possessions in one game? then he did both knees and came back to play centre/ruck rover in two premierships - I rate him among the best ever); Hay (good for a time)
9 DiPierdomenico, Crawford (OK, a Brownlow gains an exception to the "no current players" rule)
23 Scott, Brereton
24 Knights, Langford, ...
26 Hudson, Eade
