I've noticed many posters have written off Pedlar. His progress certainly has been stalled but I still think he has something to offer. I wonder if the lack of confidence in him on this board is due to the fact that we have so many promising players coming through that he's been left behind. I'm not sure what his ceiling will be either but I think most would agree that he's pretty handy depth if nothing else. Injuries unfortunately will come so I think he'll get an opportunity or two this year.

Him ending up being handy depth is him being a bust. Another high value draft pick wasted. I hope he turns it around, but he has a long way to go and really needs to excel beyond his 2023 output.

In 2023 when he actually got the ball he usually did something good with it.

In 2024 he came out like he had been on a bender all pre-season and the trial on the weekend didn't exactly show anything different.

Voted for Pedlar.

Gee, I hope more than one of these guys really makes it. Lot of potential in that list.

Also especially like Cook, Taylor, Edwards, Ryan, Dowling. And still hope for more from Berry and Schoey.

And Bond. Love Bond

Pedlar has the highest ceiling so making it would make him an A Grader, or close to. Best result for the club adding a gun small forward and/or midfield bull

The other obvious one/s would be T Murray or Welsh. Perhaps if they become consistent third forwards averaging 40 ish goals per year they could be deemed making it. Having either one of them doing this within 5-6 years would be a good bonus. Fog just kicked 40 for the first time in his 7th year (Tex kicked 63 in his 4th where he was BOG in big finals and averaged over 40 goals each year of his first 7 seasons whilst averaging playing less than 18 games per year, and exc 2013 where he did his knee and played 5 games only. But as we know, if being honest Tex is a class or 2 above Fog in their careers)

There are so many on that list I want to vote for...

Like others I think Nank already has it (and should be in the first team - sub him for Milera, and that's what I suspect most of us think right now).

Taylor and Dowling should get it with opportunities.

It's Welsh's rookie season, and he's battling a lot of class opposition for a spot. If he does well in SANFL (as I suspect) and has at least a few cameo appearances, that's a damn good start.

In the end, if it came down to just one vote with no hope of return, it was a flip of a coin between Pedlar and Schoenberg.

Both of them have the skill, and both had the shit end of the stick in regard to luck (injuries) and our coach. They have both been in the system long enough that this year is close enough to, if not right now, make or break.

I picked Pedlar just purely on the X factor, and the upside of what I think he can bring to the club with the recent recruits.

Looked his fittest he has been this season, pushed back into defence to provide an option and also to the goal square to receive an easy goal. I can see him breaking into the side later in the season with continuality in the SANFL.

I just want him to crack 20 touches. Imagine that and 2 goals. Brownlow vote assured.

On one hand - Nankervis (Nank/Soligo/Rachele are besties, have all succeed and happy and there's some great players)

On the other - Pedlar (He had a great, what was it, 2023? or was it 2022? Either way, 2024 he went backwards. If he can get back to where he was and surpass that, xfactor.

Also wouldn't mind Chayce Jones to prove the doubters wrong.

Cook.
The kid has sublime skills and quick minded, and if he can get the confidence to act on instinct he could be something else.
Watch his jrs and imagine if he can play like that in the AFL.

Nice highlights but it seems he can't translate that to AFL. Not from what I've seen anyway.
