Nice highlights but it seems he can't translate that to AFL. Not from what I've seen anyway.
I agree he hasn't done that at AFL. A little sign here and there, but not enough. When I watch him play he seems really contained and not allowing himself to play with flair. Too worried about structure and positioning in my eyes.

All I know is that we’ve got a lot of depth and will win the SANFL Premiership this year, followed by an exodus of players looking for greater opportunity.

Oooof, a lot of people thought Nankervis had "made it" assuming the club saw him as best 22...
Hopefully he can get back to last year's form. His last 2 weeks have been very ordinary.

He could be a special player

He was pretty good as the sub two weeks ago I thought. Was a little quiet against Geelong though, certainly not a performance that assures his place in the team.

Seeing him live against Cats and seemed to cough up a number of goals thru mistakes. Haven’t been reading the forum much but am sure this has been heavily scrutinised during the week. The difference in skill, composure and class between Milera and Nank was there for all to see last Thursday night.

That said, Nank was good in the last qtr vs Suns I thought.

I like him and hope he builds into form and finds a regular place in the team.

Good thread this.

It was a tough decision between Edwards and Turray. Both of these guys could be absolute difference makers with their skill sets.

Went with Turray though. With Tex winding down we'll need another key forward to come through, he's big, strong, can clunk a mark and is very mobile. Doesn't quite solve our ruck issues, but I'm not adverse to playing RT in there more often.

Special mention to McAndrew who i think we'd all like to see make it, and would somewhat solve that issue.

Agree - but would love Pedlar to 'make it'.... Can be the explosive small forward/mid we are desperately lacking and need too.

You must attach yourself to one player and become the ultimate fan

For me that's Zac Taylor. I will champion this guy until he makes it and completely overlook any flaws.

Keep him in Nicks, he's got it

I think Nank and Taylor have shown enough that they belong at AFL. I also think Berry and Pedlar, if consistent deserves more games this year.

Next up and on the fringe, I really want Cook to make it. Some of his highlights last year:

One of the commentator’s comment summed it up quite well “he’s got bucket loads of talent.. just needs to put it all together”.

McAndrew can kick and handball. Already an upgrade on ROB.

Problem is that Cook is now in his 5th year on the list. If he's going to put it all together it really needs to be right now. I feel that if he does ever put it all together it'll be at another club. I just don't really see where he fits in our team even if he does put it all together.
