I think most of the team had an excellent wizard cup, but who do you think had a GREAT one?

I would have to toss up between Goodwin and McLeod, they were both very consistent and so SKILLFULL!!

Honourable mention must go to Brent Reilly, who i reckon stood up well considering his age and the fact he hasnt had much AFL experience at all (10 minutes of a rnd 15 match last year!)

Perrie!!!!!! I think its fair to say that he has surprised all of us. Lets hope he carries it into the real season and performs aconsistently good as he has so far this year.:D

Goodwin and Ladhams have been very good in the Wizard Cup as well;)

i rekon Goodwin was easily the best for us in the wizard cup and our 2nd best was prolly Perrie or Bode.

Goodwin for me - barring injury he will have a great year and will be All-Australian.

Perrie surprised me - could keep Welsh out if he fires - cant see Carey, Stevens, Perrie and Welsh in the forwards at the same time - what do others think?

Ladhams and Perrie.

Goodwin was great also but as a proven star of the competition already it wasn't unexpected.

I have been a big Ladhams fan for a few years now and he is as skillful as any player we have on our list. In fact if you take arguably the best combined midfield trio in the competition out of our team - McLeod, Goodwin and Ricciuto - we still would have a good midfield with the others such as Stenglein, Edwards, Ladhams, Bode and we would still be one of the better midfields going around. Add younger players that are improving such as Doughty and Reilly and probably many more that could also deserve a mention.

****

Ladhams for mine. Not our best player but he showed that he has really "stepped up". Like **** I've been a fan of Chris' for a while but I always thought that he'd just be a "good average player" but now he is looking like a potential star(if you know what I mean). His ability to kick pressure goals is unbelievable.
Perrie's campaign was a wonderful suprise as well. I still think there is room for a little improvement with his kicking but that is being very picky.
Goodwin's Wizard Cup was outstanding but I kind of think we sort of expected that. The guy IS a superstar already.

IMO, Goodwin was our best player, followed by Ladhams and Perrie. Reilly without a doubt is our most promising player in that it looks like he has stepped up to AFL level earlier than I expected. Perrie's kicking was the most pleasantly suprising aspect. Gives us another tall option which we will need to gives us a bit of depth.

Goodwin was our best player but the players which really impressed me or pleased me were:

Perrie - I know it is only pre-season but looks to have really attempted to rejuvinate his career.

Torney - Has made the transition from Richmond to Adelaide beautifully and showed excellent fight and courage in defence. Will be a great asset.

Reilly - This guy has the potential to be a star. What impresses me most about the kid is his ability to keep his feet. I don't think I saw him go to ground at all if he could help it during the whole pre-season.

Ladhams and Bode - Both look like they can take the next step into our top midfield bracket.

LOL, yeah sure.

However, Freo does present a bit of a danger game ... but then I remember their away record from last year.;) :D :)
