Personally I prefer Waite as CHB and Henderson as CHF.

Waite played some elite calibre football back before the ACL as a CHB and was only moved to cover the loss of Fevola. IMO if Henderson can lock down CHF then Waite should play back again.

On any given day, confidence plays a big part in how each match up could pan out, and if a player gets his confidence up from something as simple as a lucky bounce, he could go on and really smash the other player even though his opponent is both rated and has won the same battle in the past.

This is where versatility of various players is key. If a player is getting a bit of a towelling, you can switch him and he can win elsewhere and the new opponent can win that battle for the team.

So having Waite and Hendo interchangeable would be such a bonus.

For mine Henderson looks a far better player in defence than attack .
They say all premiership sides must have a good defence so if Henderson continues to improve at CHB and forms the spine with Jamison then thats very important for Carlton .
Who knows what Watson and McCarthy will become so for now the above is the way to go .
Waite seems destined to play out his career forward so he along with some combination of Kruezer , Rowe , Hampson , Mitchell will form the spine of our attack .

Really hoping Lucas has a serious year this year. He is the type of player that could fast have an impact and push other players way back on the list. Cannot see Mclean or Collins showing enough to be able to resist their push

Will be interesting to see how Reid goes without Leon in support to do the kicking duties. I remember the Pies aborted developing Reid as a forward because of his poor kicking - I still remember that hilarious stuttering run-up in the Blues V Pies game at the G. Kicking issues seem to afflict all the Reid's.

Reckon Lucas is set for a huge year. He's a very classy mid. Easy to forget how good he was until that hamstring injury in 2010. Last year was a bit of a write off. Looking forward to Lucas and Yarran being added to the midfield group in 2012 - some serious talent there.

Agree Parrot but maybe another year or 2 off half back with stints in the midfield for Yarran, especially might be more ideal. By then both will be ready to become more permanent and ready to replace some "older" bodies.;)

Yes I feel the same. I know its not fashionable thinking but I feel Garlett is under a lot more pressure than people understand. No player can afford to go missing in games now and each player must play according to instructions. I think a couple of other players will learn this the hard way during the year as well.
Hmmm....his opponent had a bit of a night out on Monday
