He has been playing so well for ages and he always misses out on senior selection. I don't think Leigh likes him, but that's OK because I love watching Picko play!!!

I was surprised that Picken didn't get called up this week. Played superbly in the reserves last weekend. The Lions have said the team will stay unchanged unless something unforeseeable happens between now and Sunday, but I thought Marcus could have got a run instead of Headland.

Brissy_lionsgal, I totally agree with you on your comment about our Marcus William, Dessie hasn't been playing as good as Marcus William has been in Ressies and he deserves a go in the seniors, it was great to see Ruski get in but only as an emergency it is better than nothing. Ruski will go down to melbourne with the fellas but most probably will not play but have a well deserved break this weekend, along with all the Rookie listed players. Go knows they all deserve it!!!!! Hopefully the "Siders" will get a bit of a shake up on Saturday.

Dessy does have a bit of potetial.....however........he can get to the ball no worries at all, but once he's got it he forgets how to kick. He doesn't have a problem pre-game etc., but when he gets out there i think the nerves must get to him.

Yeah, your right Joshem, Des does know how to get it, he just doesn't know how to get rid of it. He can handball it all right, but his kicks are shockers. Everyone in our bay groans when he goes to kick it, it is as if he lines up an opposition player and kicks it straight to him.

Maybe it is, as you said, the nerves. He seems so eager to please, that he forgets how to kick.
