Re: Which Rookie Will Be Elivated?

I voted for Browne.

Too many people are willing to take the quick fix solution eg Nahas and his supposed ability to apply pressure in the forward line. I believe we need deeper thinking and Browne appears closer to be our back up ruckman than Graham ATM .... not saying the club agrees with me but what I saw of Browne last week put a smile on my face as he beatSt. Kilda's rucks hands down.

Need to promote him and put game time into him.

Did his chances no harm tonight according to some pundits

Re: Which Rookie Will Be Elivated?

it seems we may have unearthed a smokey to cement a spot in this years senior team - and its browne not nahas. nahas might have looked dangerous but the team will be more dangerous with a good second ruck. we will be much more potent if he comes on and plays as people have been reporting. i voted browne.

For once a great rule brought in by the AFL.A rookie can now be available for senior selection without a teamate being put on the LTIL after rnd 11 or 12.
Browne has been the most impressive but he is still very raw fitness wise.
Id say the club will give Gus the first 11-12 weeks to show if he does actually belong at the higher level or not.
In the meantime Browne will get his fitness up via Coburg playing as the #1 ruckman.By rnd 11-12 we,ll know one way or the other.
