I haven't been a member since 1988 and 1989...

I thought about buying one when Timmy G turned up in the Ragvertiser with a two dollar note and a Magpie on his shoulder but never got around to it.

Not many. :p

I'd be interested to see if anyone else travels as far to see a couple of games. :)

Love the Double Blues. Mainly a Crows supporter because I moved to Vic and needed a team to argue about. Sturt still No. 1 though.

Been to all grand finals since 1974 (except 78 for some reason). Used to go to every game but its an 8 hour round trip now so only get to 3 or 4 games a year.

I've got 16 membership badges and joined up again this year after a couple years away. (No badge though which sucks)

I usually get leave twice a year, and one of those is around summerbreaksuary, so generaly one per year. If I'm lucky, I can get away for a second. Last year it was just the one (Port @ Norwood, 'legs by 20 goals), this year it will be one on/about anzac day, and maybe one in June(depending on scheduling). Yes I am a Norwood member.

Cheers,

Kasey

Yes I am a member - I don't get to as many Eagles games as I would like - but feel it is vitally important to support the club that was my first love! The Eagles still mean a lot to me - but at this point I tend to travel with the Crows a fair bit and never miss a home game so therefore my actuall time available isn't much. Nevertherless I still enjoy getting back to the grass roots of footy!

If they played SANFL matches in Sydney I'd attend them. :o

Another question for you all. Are you members of your SANFL club?
Again, I would be if it was worth my while to fork out the money.

I've been a Sturt supporter since day one of my life and will stay that way till I die (and the way i'm going that could be very soon :D)

Been a member since I was about 5/6 and will remain to be a fully paid up member.

I refuse to miss a Sturt game and think the last time i missed a Sturt game was when I was about 7 and was really sick and Mum made me stay home

Certainly am.

The Crows are my first commitment whether at home or on TV if away. Due to this and other commitments I get to about half of the Eagles games.

Macca19,

Have been a member all my adult life and go to all the home games at Woodville (unless watching the Crows interstate) plus away games except Elizabeth, Noarlunga and even though I'm closest to Alberton absolutely refuse to go there (and you don't need to be an Einstein to work out why). Proud, Passionate and Paidup (to use the phrase of the HFC).

As my nick would imply I am a panther thru and thru As a young lad peter darley was my idol and i had a jumper for footy training with #16 on it. I was 9 when we won our last premiership so its been a long time between drinks. i live down South and am a member of the mighty panthers. And for KIRBY there is nothing wrong with the grounds or the facilities at Noarlunga so if u havent been there how can u say you never will

Yes but I can't go to Saturday games as I play and coach soccer, as well as being Secretary of my cricket club.

Some of us have more in our life than football and flower arranging:D

Will have to do a Friday night game again some time soon.:)

I'm afraid i am guilty of not keeping my membership up with the Bays over the last 15 years mainly i guess due to living away from Adelaide & other commitments in life but i do try & get down to Brighton at least for 1 game a year,

believe it not but i was even a member of the PAFC for 1 year in the 70s courtesy of losing a bet with my brother,

Wash your mouth out with soap Noddy!!

You would have retained more honour if you had reneged on the bet!!! :D

In the words of Darren Hinch

"Shame Noddy Shame" ;)

Can't say I follow the Redlegs like a TRUE supporter should
but I would have LOVED to have watched more of ...the Great Man ...Garry McIntosh

(NMFC were so interested in getting him across to Arden St in the 80's !!)

Seen SANFL matches on the box and he's always impressed me.
Plays footy the way it's supposed to be played. No Holds Barred !!

State of Origin games didn't show enough of the best of him but I'm still convinced he WAS the BEST that didn't play in the AFL/VFL

Looked like a mean dude and gotta love the goatee and mullet
VINTAGE !!! Favourite SA player of all time !!

He was and still is a bit of a hard bastard. IMO, he takes the skill + toughness of Ricciuto, Ayers and Brereton, then combines them into a midfielder that could take your team apart in the wink of an eye...."did anyone get the number of that bus?"

He is quite simply the best player I have ever seen, and the best I never saw play VFL/AFL. Others reliably inform me that Barrie Robran would give him a run in the all-time best never to play VFL/AFL, but I can't say as I never saw him play.

He was and is a fan favourite, from the days when you could really relate to the players. Very down to earth, calls a spade a spade etc, and inspirational to all he played with, and who now play for him.

Cheers,

Kasey

I am bias as all hell, but it's no contest. Robran by the proverbial country mile. And I did see them both play at their peak (albeit as a youngster for Robran).

By the way to answer the original question of Macca 19's. I've been a paid up member of North since 1982 and still join every year despite being 500 miles away. Also missed 3 games in 12 years prior to moving to Victoria.

You're not biased. Robran was an absolute freak. So far ahead of McIntosh that he makes McIntosh look like a hack by comparison.

That's not meant to put McIntosh down. Just meant to give people some idea of how good Robran really was.

Have been a Port Magpies supporter all my life. Saw Ben Hart's first game for North against Port in a prelim final (I think), when Scotty Hodges went nuts (can I mention his name on this board???). Being in Melbourne, I obviously never get to go, but I miss the days in Adelaide, getting along every weekend. I am saddened to see Port copping a regular flogging, as I'm sure all you Norwood and Glenelg supporters are (and probably the rest of you!). :D

Doesn't sound very passionate to me. I'd go anywhere for my team when I was living in Adelaide.

Alberton is a great oval to watch footy at these days, it's feral reputation is a weak excuse to miss seeing your team.

Another Proud , Paid up and Passionate EAGLES fan. - yes this phrase was used by HFC but also by the eagles in 1999 when we had brenton klaebe in our footy "department"

Member with home match ticket. Use SANFL members ticket for another 4 game's admittance.

Attending about 12 matches plus finals each year.
