Michael Jacksons Smooth Criminal is one of the best songs ive ever heard and could quite possibly be my favourite MJ song, AAF should be ashamed of themselves.
Couldnt have said it better myself!!

MJ's Smooth Criminal is a classic and AAF's version is nothing more than a butchering!!

I agree, topdon
When I first saw the new version on Channel V I stared at the TV in horror. And, the MJ video clip is also a trillion times better!

Id like to say that not many cover songs are actually better or equal to the original. They usually sound pathetic, stupid and boring. Orgys cover of Blue Monday (New Orders classic song) shot them to stardom in the states, yet its nothing special. Its hard to cover a song from a pop background and change it into Hard Rock/Metal or whatever.

Cover songs have become very popular in the last 2-3 years...Machine Head did Message in a Bottle, Coacl Chamber did Shock the Monkey, Fear Factory did Cars, Korn did Eeyore, Orgy did Blue Monday...there was a few others that i cant remember at the minute.

The only two cover songs i really like is Machine Heads version of Message In A Bottle (by The Police) which sounds really good...the other is Alien Ant Farms version of Smooth Criminal.

If you listen to it, it is a very good song, and a very good cover....all they did was take the keyboard "riff" and made it into a guitar one....and made the chorus in my opinion sound better than MJs version. Its probably the best cover song ive heard, sounds the same as the original just added guitars.
