Carlton Spine:

Thornton
Waite
Murphy
Kennedy
Fevola

Murphy could be switched with any other gun midfileder like Simpson or Stevens. Setanta could replace a backman if needed. Lance could play CHB or CHF.

Absolutely craps on:

Dawson (Sorry but you couldn't lure Thornton)
Croad (If he ever plays again)
Mitchell
Buddy (I realise CHF's should be able to mark overhead)
Williams (I realise FF's should be over 5 foot 10)

Not even a contest!
Did i say anywhere that i was rating carlton against hawthorn? You rated yourselfs against essendon and st kilda which is laughable... But if you really want to...

Thornton / Dawson- better then dawson but thats saying alot now isnt it?
Waite / Croad - Croad is only 27 y/o... if he ever plays again?
Murphy / Mitchell - Mitchell any day of any week
Kennedy / Franklin - Your joking right? ... not even going to respond to this.... Goals>>>>Overhead Marks
Williams / Fev - The 1 major upside of your spine.... yet it doesnt really do you no good if the rest of the spine is subpar and cant get the ball to him

And FWIW, Mitchell could be swapped with Hodge/Lewis who >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Simpson/Stevens

And even though our spine is not the best, yours is still nearly if not just as bad as ours.

If people are going on about how Lloyd is coming back from injury then bloody mention that Hayes and Maguire are coming back from season ending leg injuries and Kosi who barely played last season after the WB game

Michael = Hudgeton (on the premise that I don't know how Michael is going to perform)

Fletcher > Maguire

Hayes > Stanton

Reiwolt > Lucas

Lloyd > Gehrig
Fair point

So we win 3 of the positions, break even in one and lose the CHF and ours is as bad as yours?????

St. Kilda's, consisting of: Hudghton - Maguire - Koschitzke - Riewoldt - Gehrig.
Essendon's, consisting of: Fletcher - Michael - Hille - Lucas - Lloyd.

FWIW, I still think St. Kilda has the strongest spine in the competition. Essendon, West Coast and Fremantle not far behind.
Saints. But the Swans have a better spine!

Spot on but i owuld have had Maguire beating Fletcher. Fletcher cant play CHB and Maguire is a quality one at that when he was not injured.

Maguire>>>Fletcher

Maguire runs, marks, kicks, gets the hard ball, hes a fantastic CHB, Fletcher is good at being a spare man, but i could get 20 possesions playing with noone on me
