Geelong came off a 44 year Premiership drought and suspiciously became a force out of nowhere in 2007.
Richmond came off a 37 year Premiership drought despite Trent kicking into the wind three years earlier.
Hawthorn in 2008 came off a 17 year Premiership drought which by our standards is 137 in dog years.

Which supporterbase handled newfound success in the least-graceful fashion on Bay13? Looking forward to hearing what neutrals think.

Geelong - from what I have seen their problem is more trying to handle their lack of success of late. All that cattle and not a single prize bull among them. No wonder the supporters are so unhinged & bitter.

Hawthorn - very accustomed to regularly winning so it was probably no big deal. Hear less from them about their actual 3peat than you do from Richmond pinheads about their missed 3peat or ‘2 in 3’. 🙄

Richmond - the absolute definition of “new money”. Insanely up themselves, gargantuan bandwagoners, woodwork dwelling termites & incredibly insulted that they are not immediately given the likewise respect of the other 2 above, also suffering from an extreme little man complex that would make even Webster shake his head and afflicted with a burning itch to tell someone every 5 minutes that Richmond are premiers again and that they personally have been a lifelong member. It could not be more polar compared to the last 40 years of shame.

Simply put, it is as if the phrase - “some guys just can’t handle Vegas” was coined exclusively for them. :$

Richmond pinheads about their missed 3peat
Only one peanut in this cesspit carrying on about that. And he ain't no Tiges supporter.

I'm sure he'll stink this thread up sooner rather than later.

I was with you on Richmond with the new money comment, even though I had experienced our last period of domination. Then your obsessive fear of the Tiger machine kicked in and you started to waffle a little, other than that keep up the good work

The answer is Geelong, mostly because they embarrassingly cocked up their ‘peat’ (twice) and they have been trying to inflate their actual achievement ever since—which in context to all AFL/VFL history (and even the colonial bush league days that they claim internally) was good, but not extraordinary.

Richmond were initially very Footscray about it. Enjoying it cautiously with the knowledge it may be another 37 years. But then the band wagon went up to 11 and they are embarrassing themselves with their claims of grandeur

Easily us. The moment we one our first flag against Port our vile supporters were ungraceful rubbing it in the faces of everyone else. Burning cardboard cutouts of Chad Cornes and doing meth on the rooftops and just constantly taunting clubs that won more flags than us in general

Yeah, I'm not sure about that. Geelong supporters cautiously celebrated the drought breaking flags due to the key players orchestrating a questionable 'supplements' program.

Now if your metric of success focuses on H&A records excluding finals records it is very much a one horse race.

At least the majority of Richmond supporters actually have the capacity to feel shame and for the most part shut the * up when we are doing s**t. Can't say the same for some Geelong supporters.

It must be very hard for Geelong though, 13,075 h&a wins with 754 finals showings since 2011 yet not even a cup to piss in to show for it.

True. Not everyone can have a finals conversion rate like the Eagles or Tigers. We should treat them kinder.

It is like the bulldogs of the 90s who were affectionately known as “prelims are us” and would be frustrating as hell, but GAJ coming back sells more merchandise so it is all good. 🥴

Don't forget the picks they got for Kelly. It's all blue skies ahead for the cats.

This is easy. You only have to look at where each of the candidates came from prior to success and pick the one with the biggest delta.

Hawfs... begrudgingly, they have been consistently successful since the 70's. Even during their drought they had up times. Most Hawfs had already tasted plenty of success

Cats... sure, a s**t long drought, but there were stacks upon stacks of finals appearances with some very sexy time footballs in between. With their pedigree, it was just a matter of time before they conquered

Tuggers.... only StFailda trump them for sustained shitness over a vast period of time. From the mid 80's to the mid teens this mob was an abandoned bean bag on a freeway that everyone ran over. From a Geelong supporters perspective, it was particularly hilarious. Decades of brutal slaughters and humiliations.

Ergo my friends it can only be the mentally abused and hammered Tuggers who can win this poll.

I'll revisit this discussion if Freo or St.Kilda ever win a Premiership, just don't hold your breath.

At Richmond the dial is always set to 11.
