well now we are on the subject of stats remind us of collingwoods history. am i correct in guessing its 0 judds in the last... well ever?

You can have him.:thumbsu:

What will happen though when your messiah gets injured or has a shit year coming off an injury and you finish season 2008 with yet another spoon? Will you all still be going on about how your so great because you got a money hungry whore?

I love the way opposition supporters like Collingwood can come on here and "throw our record for the last five years" at us yet their pathetic useless underachieving club has done absolutely nothing, as per normal I might add, over the same period!

Win a friggin "premiership" while we are down for goodness sake. Atleast while we have been useless have added to our cabinet! Can't wait to see what we add when where up and running, which for your info is sooner rather than later.

we got a money hungry whore? i didnt realise we had poached eddie mcguire. whats gonna happen when you dont have a lucky run with injury's and find yourself in the bottom 4 with ageing players like burns, rocca ect and no future?

I would much prefer to make finals then win the spoon.:thumbsu:

To win a premiership you have to actually win games during the home and away season, you guys havn't one more than 10 in how long?

Take a look at our injury list last year, we blooded 9 debutants because we were hit with injuries and we still made a prelim.

eddie mcguire on sen tuesday (i think) " we had a good run with injuries last year". ill grant that you blooded the youngsters last year and some of them showed vague potential but moves like appointing an old skipper with very few games left in him show your going all or nothing and will struggle after some of your older big names retire.

Scotty Burns was the only suitable applicant at the time. It is very well known that we had a shithouse recruiting period and therefore have few players in a certain age group. Burns is only going to be captain for a year or two and the post will be taken over by Scott Pendlebury. While we are missing players in the 25-30 age group we have a rather large amount of good talent in our 19-23 age bracket. Our older big names are having less impact on our game style each week as the younger brigade start to take over. We will be fine once they retire.

You have to remember that the leadership group at the Blues isn't great. Not to long ago you had a first year player in it did you not?

But this thread is not about Collingwood, it is about Carlton and how many games you all believe you can win this year. I believe you can beat a few clubs, most of last years bottom 8 actually.

i agree with most of that post, just question whether your 19-23's are that solid. i never argued that carlton's leadership group is strong, and would be foolish to do so. i think with a good run and a bit of luck we can finish 9-10. maybe 8th if a few teams fail monumentally.

Blockbusters vs. Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond are always going to be very close affairs by nature, so we have every chance of winning them. I think Melbourne will also be a nice target as well as the Doggies, Adelaide and Sydney (maybe). We have always seemed to go well against Port too, maybe our style suits theirs well?
