Chose Pitt and Fyfe simply because i like being a douche, as well as the fact we'd be a much better side in 2013 with Kennedy, Cox, LeCras and McInnes in the forward line, with Shuey, Gaff, Fyfe, Kerr and Masten in the middle.

I thought Pitt looked really good pre-draft. Good height, mark, speed and skills. Given his size he was always going to be a long-term prospect but I suspect he might have Jack-Watts-itis.

Darling and Shep thanks. Darling needs no introduction and I think Sheppard will be a very valuable player for us in the future. Think a more defensively accountable but slightly less polished Embley.
Pitt does not have jack watt-itis. First of all i resent that and your forgetting the person who not only created the pea hearted syndrome but whom is was named after. Mcdougall-itis is rife. Watts, Pitt, Tambling etc. etc.

Darling over Fyfe easily...over rated and his disposal is atrocious
Pitt is a spud
Sheppard showed enough this season

You could go back even further and attribute it to Cupido! So much wasted talent...

Scott Thompson, Gary Ablett, Joel Corey, James Kelly and Dane Swan all in the top ten, so it's not as if he's alone.

Intriguingly, only one Eagle is in the top 100 average clangers per match: Chris Masten.

Says something about our game plan perhaps?

Maybe if we had some mids that made more clangers we'd have a better midfield?
Well the argument from most the vics would be that free kicks against are included in clangers and seeing as we've had umps in our pocket all year that's why our players have low clanger counts.

No it isn't.

Really? he averages 13 effective disposals per game.

For what it's worth both Harvey and Lyon are desperate morons, he should be played as a half forward and not as a midfielder.

Two things i found funny about the thread on the Freo board:

The lack of recognition of how much they need a key forward to help out Pavlich. Darling was an obvious choice for them and it was a very poor selection for what ever reasons. Key forwards are harder to find than midfielders.

The claims that they wouldn't trade Fyfe for anyone. So they wouldn't trade Fyfe for Franklin or Ablett? It's ridiculous. Even as far as young midfielders go Cotchin is the clear choice.

I rate Fyfe very highly and as far as West Coasts needs go, i would probably trade Darling for Fyfe. Wouldn't trade Shep for Pitt and overall i wouldn't make the trade because of the Shep/Pitt decision.

He's often under pressure, but his kicking is a lot better than people give him credit for IMO.

He misses half his targets, even with his higher proportion of contested possession's that's poor and backs up a lot of the visible kicking problems he has.

Big fan, obvious disposal issues.

doin a job for this old dude who 'played footy for years ra di ra'.

Got into the conversation about the Eagles and I pointed out that Darls is one of my favs, to which the old man replied 'yea he needs to bulk up more though'.

Don't know what posts you read that resulted in that conclusion. Most I've read (and written) see the number one priority in the coming draft / free agency period being getting a player of the size and talent of Darling.
