Was thinking about this recently and the thread on the mainboard about East Freo got me thinking, which WAFL team has contributed most to our success over the journey? A breakdown of the clubs and the premiership players they have given us-

Claremont(8):
Guy McKenna
Don Pyke
Chris Lewis
Tony Evans
Ashley McIntosh
Ryan Turnbull
Brett Jones
Rowan Jones

East Fremantle(8):
Michael Brennan
Chris Waterman
Chris Mainwaring
Paul Harding
Peter Wilson
Ben Cousins
Daniel Chick
Daniel Kerr

Subiaco(8):
Mitchell White
Dean Kemp
Karl Langdon
Dwayne Lamb
Brett Heady
Drew Banfield
Tyson Stenglein
Chad Fletcher

South Fremantle(5):
John Worsfold
Glen Jakovich
Peter Matera
Peter Sumich
David Hart

East Perth(1):
Dean Cox

West Perth(3):
Craig Turley
Quinten Lynch
Mark Seaby

Swan Districts(3):
Jason Ball
Adam Hunter
Andrew Embley

Perth(2):
Darren Glass
Steven Armstrong

This also doesn't include other notables who didn't win a flag such as:
Phil Narkle (SD, clubs first All-Australian player)
Ross Glendinning (EP)
Phil Matera (SF)
Steve Malaxos (C)
Murray Rance (SD)

So I throw it open, which WAFL club has give us the most?

Claremont for 1 reason...

Gotta thank Perth for being absolutely terrible, gave Glass plenty of experience in 1 on 1's and pack marking/spoiling considering how much the ball goes down to defense.

As much as I hate to say it, you could really rate Souths ahead of everyone purely on the basis that John Worsfold has contributed more to this club in the way of premierships than any other player on that list, it's quite mind boggling how large a part of the WCE that he has been!

Hart was at West Perth in 1984 ish. Could possibly put him in the falcons list.

Chris Lewis should have been, but the Claremont old boys club paid for his private education a stones throw from Claremont oval

Nah as far as i'm concerned he's a South player ;)

We will let you be generous and claim Mark Seaby though:p
