Second year in a row that GWS limped to the finals. Incredibly bad luck
We have been smashed just as badly by injury as the Giants over the past few years-it's just that the haters out there are loathe to concede this fact. Even this week we are missing five best 22 players but because they are not late exclusions it receives no coverage. Who?
DeGoey, Cox, Beams, Greenwood and Langdon.

LOL.
You read the rest of the thread then?
Dimwit.

I know the feeling. I'd love to see a fit and healthy DeGoey, Beams, Greenwood, Cox and Langdon up and firing as the Pies enter the preliminary final.
#pieshaveinjuries is back on the AGENDA! Oh wait we keep being reminded that it has never left.......

Wonderful news.
...
Awesome.

The guy is in hospital having undergone emergency surgery and it’s “wonderful news”?

Injury trolls are worst kind of trolls, just beneath contempt.

Pretty f#*king pathetic post if you ask me.

Take it easy love....all our thoughts and prayers are with him.

Meanwhile...there’s a gf in two weeks and no one wants the Giants in it.

Ahhh, thoughts and prayers...

So in other words you’re confirming you don’t give a s#*t and are nothing more than a pathetic injury troll.

The lowest form of scum (and when it comes to the cesspool that an anonymous online message board can be) that’s saying something.

Take it to the Bay mate - you’re pathetic.

Great to hear Nick Riewoldt acknowledge the glaring truth tonight on 360. The pies have been smashed by injuries all year. The Tigers are at full strength other than Rance. Just the facts and nothing but the facts.

You've manager to turn a thread about Whitfield having appendicitis, into a Collingwood-Richmond sh*tfight?

Unbelievable.

A lot of good teams band together and perform strongly when they get hit with bad luck.

The fact is, while a notch down, GWS has an assembly line of top end talent we all envy. They are most well-equipped team in the competition to be able to roll out the next player and the next player.....

So, while a loss, they have absolutely every chance of winning. The pies have their own outs and are likely to be fielding players with little match fitness and injury clouds.

Premature to write off the Giants imo, but does make it harder. The Pies have benefited from events, despite having bad luck themselves, so if they get into the granny it'll be through a lot of good fortune. Expected to finish 5th before round 23 and winning a gf with their injuries, it would be an impressive result if they get into the big dance, and even moreso if they win it of course.

I remember when Rory Sloane and Eddie Betts both got appendicitis in the lead up to the 2017 finals within couple of weeks of each other

I said back then that players should just legit get them taken out in the offseason

Lachie should have listened

This game is un-loseable now for Collingwood.

.. as un-loseable as the 1999 State election for Jeff Kennett.

PRIVATISE, PRIVATISE, PRIVATISE!

Thank you very fookin much Mr Joffery Kencampaigner.

Sell the states money making utilities so your coffers look fat for a pre election bragging sprees...Dat's how we politics in the big V.

Nobody makes a grand final through good fortune. they were good enough to win 15 games and finish 4th. They beat the top team in a qualifying final. They were always going to beat GWS comfortably this week, regardless of who's out on the field. Whitfield and greene out just means they will win more comfortably. Am sick of hearing how the pies got lucky with the eagles losing to hawthorn - it's a 22 game season, 1st game is worth as much as the last game. Over the course of 22 games, they were better than the eagles and deservedly finished higher - simple. Of course luck comes into the equation to some degree, as it does with all teams - just look at the eagles last year, dead and buried v port adelaide unti.l port had no players on the bench in the last quarter and eagles managed to score a very lucky win. Or earlier in 2018,m when geel had them on the rack in perth only for geel to hjave no rotations in last quarter and the eagles came over the top late. Lose those 2, eagles finish 6th and don't win the flag. Were they therefore very lucky???

Cox and Greenwood? Give me a ******* spell.

Beams was very ordinary all year too.

Happy to correct the misconception that we have been blessed because we are playing a team with key players missing through injury. Glad you approve.

It’s pretty appalling luck for GWS and now Collingwood’s to lose. But psychology is a funny thing and the Giants have plenty of class. We don’t match up well against them. Cameron routinely tears us a new one. I’m nervous.

Agreed. This isn't going to be as easy or a one-sided affair as everything thinks.
