He should exercise his option to default as an AFL footballer and use his brains in a coaching role.

It seems to me that the club has decided to accept the recent past, forget it and move on big time.Otherwise Lappin and Red would have been useful just for some experience and leadership.Ratts has been there and knows the players already. If Skinny and Red did not have the right attitude to play hard and set the bench mark for the kids than I agree there was no point continuing with them. Stevens and Judd are natural leaders in actions and words.Fevola when his brain is in gear and when he is not thinking selfishly can also provide these traits. As much as I admire Red for what he has done, it is all about our future. We are doing everything with that in mind. Thanks Lance and come see us play!
Onward and upward all you faithful
Long days and happy nights
Even he would say he wasn't preparing himself as best he could until last year, but he was still pretty good. Anyone who's watched Nick knows that he takes defeat seriously (remember him slamming the ball into the turf at the siren of the Princes Park farewell game?). He's also not shy on gathering the team into a huddle and telling them what to do or giving junior players instructions when needed.I would love to see him really apply himself for a full season before saying what a great example he is. And if anyone like Audas wants to say I have an agenda then it is to bring some balance to how many Carlton supporters view him. ie; With rose coloured glasses. If people didnt keep making these comments about what a great leader he is:: if they just said he has heaps of ability and they hope he will produce:: then I wouldn't need to keep writing these sort of posts.

i think it was dog act to delist him. we should have either a) traded him or b) given a one year deal to see if he can come good. very harsh on the big red, i am ashamed.
You guys amaze me with your comments about Stevo. There is no doubt the guy has heaps of ability. But all this crap about what a great example he sets. So far he runs hard only one way and is hardly setting a great example with accountability. He had a good pre season 07 but in general is so far off what Judd and other champions set it is not funny.

He has his dogs so he is passionate in Greyhound Racing.

Its not just the Agenda, its the fact you clearly don't know what you are talking about. You SLAMMED Stevens after he collected 44 possessions in the best game of any player for the season.
Your opinion is based PURELY on a gut feeling you have that he is uncommitted, when in an actual fact he THE most dedicated passionate player in the team. As it turned out the the last two season he has been severely injured but was playing through. This season he refused to tell the coaches that he was injured and was risking death to play, his father stepped in the fix what was a dangerous situation being caused by dedication and passion.
you are a tool pumped, you know nothing about the guy. You judge him unfairly, based on a psychological assessment you have never made.
You have never talked to the guy, or anyone else associated with him in any capacity. Your posts are ridiculous.
Read the bold.He should exercise his option to default as an AFL footballer and use his brains in a coaching role.
No Way if anywhere off the ground using his brain on tactics if he so clever like Ted Hopkins did.I'd keep him at the club as a Development Coach ONLY.
200 games is a great performance and I'll try to remember that about Red. I dont want to rubbish a guy now that hes gone
But whats with the development coach idea? Isnt that role supposed to be about young players getting the most out of themselves? Despite Whitnalls career can anyone really say he did that?
