Adrian Burns.....went to a game with my Father at Waverley many years ago and arrived early to watch the Magoos. The old man launched into a tirade of abuse against Burns (who he despised as a footballer) until the very rough, very broad man directly in front of us turned around and told him not to say another pharking word or he'd get belted....was Burns' Dad.

The worst bit was the my Father clearly shat himself, complied meekly and we moved seats - not pleasant for a young bloke to see his Dad completely emasculated. That said, if you want to be a dick and abuse your own players, you probably deserve having this happen to you.

He actually wasn't that bad. Tidy tough player from memory but had a hell of a time trying to break into a strong squad.

I remember that he played with Kyneton in the Bendigo league there for at least one season.

He played his last year for Poowong in 2012. I think he's always been a bit miffed that injury basically ruined his career. He doesn't like Sheeds at all.
