Are you drunk already Dave?None ....live footy but don't gake it too seriously
Hawks are the best ....we have to beat them to be the best
We've got a roughy free balls in round 2 at MCG
No excuses
I think if Bennell and Yarran can get on the park consistently and perform along with Mundy off half back and perhaps an Apeness playing Zac Clarkes role we may have a genuine flag threat in Freo.Sure, but their key forwards/backs are atrocious going into 2016.
The only quality is Johnson (31) and Pavlich (34).

Not convinced. Yes, they have some brilliant top-end talent (Walters, Fyfe, Mundy, Bennell, Hill, Johnson and the final year Pav), but I have big doubts over their depth. De Boer, Mzungu, Susan, Silvagni, Cozier and Taberner are all unconvincing (granted the last two have youth on their side). You could throw Barlow into that mix as, although he's been very good in the past, I suspect he's on the decline (but haven't totally written him off yet).I think if Bennell and Yarran can get on the park consistently and perform along with Mundy off half back and perhaps an Apeness playing Zac Clarkes role we may have a genuine flag threat in Freo.
I think Freo and Hawks will be the teams most challenging for us.
A fit Freo I think can win the flag this year... yuck I need to clean my tongue after that !!
GWS be able sustain some of last years early success and kick on - bit of a wild card ?Not convinced. Hawks are the obvious threat. Adelaide troubled us late last year and I wasn't convinced that was just pre-finals blues. Other than that, not overly fazed by Sydney (weak defence, our strong defence should now handle their forwards reasonably well), Bulldogs (still young but will provide a challenge), Port (no Ryder will make a difference to them), Richmond (lacking depth, not enough high-end talent to be a real threat), North (talented but some of their best are getting towards the end of their careers), and Geelong (who know's what they'll be able to sustain, could be Dangerous).

Have they ever got close to beating eagles? I know they have talent but never put fear into me as we always roll themGWS be able sustain some of last years early success and kick on - bit of a wild card ?

It was one of my favourite little threads of 2015...things that resemble susan!BIG LIKE FOR SUBAN BEING REFD TO AS SUSAN
Cats with danger will be up there, esp if S Selwood can consistently get on the park and Menzel/vardy stay fit. Will have elite players on all lines.
Can't see the swans being a threat personally. Lost 950 games of experience and didn't set the world on fire during last years finals.Freo, although I'd be confident of beating them in a final.
Hawks, Swans.
true, but surely the can't have the same injury run they had again, and for some reason I'm predicting Franklin to have a beast season. Can't see the swans being a threat personally. Lost 950 games of experience and didn't set the world on fire during last years finals.
Sandi will continue to dominate. He hasn't been injury prone for years now and he seems to keep getting better. Sure he might not have more than 2 more seasons but he's not looking like slowing down.Dockers are gone, Pav and Sandi too old, Fyfe long term injury
ludicrous amount of midfield talent too.true, but surely the can't have the same injury run they had again, and for some reason I'm predicting Franklin to have a beast season.
Spot on. Can't believe there are people here saying we are the best team in the comp. Every chance that 2013 happens again.I don't get why people think Freo and Sydney will drop out of the eight? Freo have probably gained more than they have lost. Sydney have lost a heap of experience but not sure much of it seems that critical to them. They finished fourth, with some massive outs who are now back in. And they possibly have the best player from the last draft who is ready to play already.
I am almost more concerned about Freo than Hawthorn this year. I think Swans are still far more of a threat than people are giving them credit for. They might drop a little but if they aren't still in the 8 come finals I'd be shocked.
West Coast is the only one keeping me up though. I feel like we have a great balanced list but also feel like Simpson is almost the sole key to our success. If his revised game plan doesn't stack up then I don't think we'll be top 4 at the end of season. We unfortunately don't have a midfield like Freo that can carry the team if and when required. Our whole team performs as one or our team doesn't.
