The only thing that could make this not work is that the last two years Burgers seems to have lost a fair bit of distance (and accuracy) when kicking for goal.

Funnily enough his speed off the mark and marking are still top class though.

I'll keep an eye on that, I only recall one time when he struggled from around 50m whereas in the past it would have sailed through goal post height.

I don't have any figures to back this up but last season in particular I recall a couple of times where he looked to pass off from around the 45m mark whereas in the past he would have sailed it through post high.

I have heard it said that as players get older kicking distance is one of the aspects of their game that takes the biggest hit.

Interestingly enough it was the one thing Hodgey kept.

How the forward line functions is a big one for me so T-O and Mitch are who I'm most excited about.
Tim really had some moments at the end of the season gone and if he is now the third tall, assuming Gunners plays more link man in the mould of Lynch from Crows, then he should have ample opportunity to succeed.
Mitch has all the tools as a 20 something gamer to really elevate his game to the equal of many of the games better forwards. His contested marking is superior to most already and with a better fitness base to work with, and hopefully a fit Patton taking the No.1 defender, he has every opportunity to become a homegrown hero for the next 10+ years.

Isn't it so exciting that there is genuinely a large handful we could all name?

I said Nash at the start of last year, and even though it was another developing season for him in the end (and there is probably due for at least another) I will say his name again. The guy has so many of the right tools to make it, should they all come together

Finn is also another I'm looking forward to seeing in action

There are only a few players I’m looking forward to seeing

-Mitchell, who isn’t looking forward to seeing our best player return
-Jaeger, will step up with Mitchell back in the side
-Worpel, will be even better this year
-Wingard, was awesome in the midfield and has a full preseason under his belt
-Scully, will improve with a full preseason
-Hendo, looking forward to see if he backs up his 2019 form
-Big boy, looking forward to seeing how he goes in the backline
-Sicily, will be more free in the backline so we can see more of his orgasmic kicking
-Lewis, watch out since he’ll be taking the 2nd best defender
-TOB, big preseason, will be huge this year
-Patton, who isn’t looking forward to seeing the general
-Finn, club is really talking him up, will make his debut early
-Walker, genuine x factor
-CJ, ^^^

So yeah, only a few I’m looking forward to seeing...

And that's what makes it great supporting a club like this. Like you, I'm looking toward the progression - how we get to the next flag. All those players have potential. It's how they perform during the H&A season and whether they step up in the finals that matters.

Geez, Frost & Day both missing from the survey.
Yeah but who would be excited to see either, we know they are going to smash it. Was it exciting to see Matthews carving it up week in week out?
No, it was boring.
