McAvaney is gone, we all know that.
On Thursday, the existing commentary team have their annual pre-season meeting.
Already the jostling has begun.
Brian Taylor saying the right things, playing down the fight, as though nobody can replace Bruce.
Come on, Bristle. You ain't fooling anybody. You want Bruce's chair, and you want it before it even cools down.
Who can stop Taylor from getting the #1 gig?
Wonderwoman Brayshaw? Wet lettuce Hame? 'Say that again' Darce? Give me a break.
If this were a horse race, and Bruce were commentating, you'd just have to have Bristle as the odds-on favourite, wouldn't you?
We'll see how this one plays out. First few rounds should be juicy.
Big boy! Big boy! Big boy!
So who will be crowned the new Friday night numero uno for channel seven?
Over to you, bigfooty

No ‘top dog’ replacement for McAvaney at Seven: Taylor
But the network’s blue-chip AFL callers will begin to find out on Thursday who will have the most prime-time exposure this season.
