Three players who barracked for the teams they ended up playing for:

Brad Johnson (Footscray), Brett Kirk (Sydney) and Lou Richards (Collingwood).
 
Jon Griffen was a Freo supporter.
I think Nick Vlaustin said he wanted to play for us, not sure if he supported Freo though.

josh gibson went for Hawthorn

I can't imagine your loyalty to the team you barrack for as a kid disappearing as soon as you get drafted. Like if i was, GAJ Jnr say, I would hate to be picked up by Sydney. I couldn't see myself trying to start a fight with Shaun Burgoyne or sledging Gunstall or something like that. Weirddd

That's my great-uncle, John Reeves, I was interrogating my grandmother (Caddy's great aunt) over the weekend about how hard he tried to get to North last year. She didn't have any details but she told me he did try!
