With Australia crying out for yet another tertiary education body, Gil to the rescue:
The AFL will allocate significant funding from its forthcoming $2.5 billion broadcast deal towards a university-style academy for its emerging executives.

Forget the spin, why ? Diversity is a strength of our game & now the AFL are going to provide a pool of graduates to pick from.
Whats next Gil, will you be looking for taxpayer funding?
In another example we had Jason Mifsud resign to take up a role with the Vic Government, so the AFL widens the scope of the job & appoints 'an activist' - how does that help footy?
Tanya Hosch becomes the League's general manager of inclusion and social policy, a position revamped following the departure of long-time diversity advisor Jason Mifsud.
Hosch was the joint campaign director of Recognise, an organisation that is pushing for the inclusion of indigenous Australians in the national constitution.
Gil then makes a decision for footy to take a position on a political issue
"We look forward to continuing to work with Recognise and supporting the next phase of this campaign."
Pls note personally I support Gils decision, but its not the role of the AFL to take sides on political debates.
On the eve of a gay pride game, the AFL are supporting one side of a political issue - why - are those with opposing views to the AFL wrong Gil?
