Since the end of last season I have thought it was the Giants' flag to lose, and what they've been able to do so far with such a massive injury list is nothing short of amazing.

However I can't shake this feeling I have had for a couple of months now that they won't actually win it this year. They may finish top, they may make the grand final but I think somebody knocks them over on the day. No clue who that will be though.

Agreed, I have a gut feel they'll go down in a prelim or grand final. My tip for the flag is Geelong, however I wouldn't mind Adelaide or Melbourne to take it.

We'll win it. Only been 1 game from 13 that we weren't a chance to win in the last minute of the game. No other team has done that. I think we'll find another tall forward during the remainder of the season.
I'll be honest, I don't think we have defeated enough teams of note yet to make that call. If we beat Port Adelaide in AO, GWS in Melbourne and Geelong at Simonds Stadium then I think we are a decent chance provided that we don't have really ugly or bad losses.

So far this season the only horrible loss we had was Adelaide in AO, so only if we can keep that aspect intact too will I rate us as a good Premiership chance. Hope you're right though.

It's wide open. Hit the right form in September its there for the taking.

Not convinced it's a GWS cakewalk. In fact I'm confident we will witness the reality that they are nothing more than a team of (potential) champions And we all know what can beat that. Too many egos will get in the way of a team ethos.

So no actual reasoned analysis then? Just a whole lot of opinions about people you dont know. Do you think the Bulldogs will make the 8.

I think you'll be more likely to find that Richmond may be too reliant on too few players come crunch time. They will need a few more match winners to overcome Adelaide, Geelong or GWS in the finals. Port will be a smokey for mine, but only just.

GWS get Coniglio Lobb Deledio Griffen back and they simply can't lose it unless the Bulldogs magically regain 2016 form.
Sydney can only do it if one of Zak Jones and Mills breaks out in the finals to average 25 touches a game in the guts like Heeney did last year after playing most of the season as flankers/wingers.
I still think the Bulldogs, surprisingly can go all the way.
Cats in a similar boat to Sydney Danger is a freak but IMO they need two of Horlin Smith, Scooter, Guthrie(isn't even playing midfield ATM), Menegola to become an A grade midfielder just for the finals series.
I don't think anyone else does it including Melbourne. Oliver and Petracca are going to run out of steam eventually, we have like three players in our list who have ever played finals and I don't think we can beat Sydney let alone GWS or Geelong in the finals

I don't think we will, but we are in a very interesting spot. No ruck/Hogan/backline depth all season, finally get Gawn back and lose all of Salem, Jones, Garlett and Watts. Means that come September we will just about be primed with a number of blokes still relatively fresh and not copping a season's battering.

He had an off game shooting wise. Bottom line is we've lost three games, we're very happy with Toby's anility to stand up when we need him.
Cant have a bad game?

If he hit those shots he would of been called amazing.

He's a great player, but I do remember him burning a team mate to go glory hunting. My only point was to provide some balanced context to the claim that GWS' "come from behind wins with no time on the clock" show that they aren't a "selfish bunch of players", when the Carlton game was a close loss that probably could have been avoided by less selfish play.

We've lost three games, less than any other club, and won many close ones. Do better to wonder how your guys can do as well I think.

Balance? My point was to balance out the "they are stars and are selfish" twadle thats been peddled.

1 bad game by Greene doesnt change that.

As i said. If he had hit those shots nothing would of been said.
The same VFL media that crusafied the club would of ran with another scaremonger article instead.

gws with a close to full list this September will put on a masterclass and produce one of the most dominant finals series in recent memory. Could not have had much more go wrong so far in 2017, and they are a game clear on top. Players are starting to filter back now , the icing on the cake will be if they get Deledio fit. What everyone is saying is the most open season in memory is actually the easiest to predict for some time
