Think Adelaide have one spot in the grand final with all home finals. They're going to be very hard to beat in Adelaide. The other spot could be anyone really

Tigers will have to come into considerations after todays win.

There really isn't anyone besides the Crows who can challenge them, and there are still questions around whether the Crows can win in Melb

GWS can't win it, and Cats still have some consistency issues.

It really just leaves Richmond as the team to beat in Sept

That's the big question mark over us. If you catch my drift, I'm more confident of us winning it all IF we win the first final, than I am of us winning that first one.
It's nice to be rated that way though:)

Strangely enough, the Crows have won all their games in Melbourne this year... Sure, it's only two games and both at the MCG (We can't help it if you Victorians keep selling your home games lol). I think we have won 4 of the last 5 at the MCG? not sure on that though.

EDIT: Too bloody slow

Beaten Carlton and who else at the MCG?
Hawthorn, got 2 more matches to come in Melbourne - Collingwood(MCG) and Essendon (Etihad). Not saying we are amazing in Melbourne as clearly home is better but haven't lost here since the Dogs early last year if memory serves.

Tigers have a shot at being competitive in a finals game only if it pisses down.

Adelaide played some Grand Final winning footy on the weekend against Geelong I thought. But only in patches, they did have moments when they looked very ordinary.

I can see Adelaide getting into the Grand Final (I have money on it lol), but they need to finish in the top 2. So they have some challenges coming up.

Right now I see Adelaide, Sydney or GWS in the great showdown. Geelong is the dark horse for me.

You have GWS making the Grand final, they won't even make top 4. They are not playing good enough footy! I rekon Grand final, Crows and Cats or Crows and Swans.

Clearance Differential

1. GWS (+8.6)
2. Port Adelaide (+3.6)
3. Gold Coast (+3.3)
4. Collingwood (+2.7)
5. Melbourne (+1.0)
6. Adelaide (+0.9)

The reason why you are a top clearance and contested side is because you create an awful lot of stoppages so that your midfield isn't exposed in one on one battles through the middle of the ground. But just because you generate more opportunities for clearances and contested possession, doesn't necessarily mean you're good at winning them - it's about 55%.

I said on the Port board that Adelaide would be happy with the increase in output from Brad and Matt Crouch because it has helped Sloane by making coaches acutely aware that there is more to your midfield than just him.

The only teams you'd want to avoid at Adelaide Oval are Sydney (for obvious reasons) and Port Adelaide (just for the fact that the crowd would be 50/50 in a final). And that's not saying you couldn't or wouldn't win, it's just saying that those teams would give you the most trouble. But you should be playing off in the GF this year - I've rated you as either the best or second best side all year.
What is the contested differential for top 8 teams when they play each other...
