Crows and Swans you would have to say at the moment. One win in six games is a worry for Giants although Coniglio and a couple of others coming back will help.

I rate a full strength Dees and Tigers above Cats and I think we can cause some problems as well if we get in. Whoever gets the best run in with injuries is a big show in a wide open race

Hawks are too far back but they're a team that will help shape the eight. Very dangerous

All things equal, Greene will be out for 2 weeks from suspension. Will they make top 4 in time (will their starters come back in time, through injury & suspension? Only a few games left).

At the moment Crows and Sydney look the 2 best teams in the comp. Cats have mental issues, Richmond are Richmond, Port I rated until the Melbourne game, GWS have lost the plot. I'll say Syd v Crows GF with Syd premiers.

Can’t wait for the Swans v Crows game @ AO. I think that will be a clear indicator as to who are premiership favourites.

You rated Port before they lost to another top 8 side on the weekend?

Take out swans first 6 and they are easily favourites for me. Miles ahead of others. Finish top 4 and a premiership is coming there way
I agree with you if they finish top 4. Not because of getting the double chance, but because of who they will have had to beat to get there, and where they will have beaten them. An in form Hawthorn at the MCG will not be easy, given they couldn't beat us at the SCG (and Sydney had already started playing good footy by then). Then they also have Adelaide in Adelaide, and Cats in Geelong. To finish top 4 I'd guess they'll need to win most or all of those, and if that happens they are the form team of the competition by a fairly wide margin.

Swans will probably finish 5th after Rd 23. Whoever of the Top 4 loses the first week then has to face Sydney will be absolutely packing their dacks haha.

Adelaide have a pretty comfortable path to the Grand Final if they finish top, and they play the G pretty well. It's theirs to lose. Sydney, as I said, the wildcard.

I just don't rate Geelong or Richmond as a Premiership threat. Essendon, Port and Melbourne have the potential to ruffle feathers, but would be staggered if any went all the way.

Crows still have question marks for mine.

How will they perform in front of 90,000 fans against Richmond or at skilled against Geelong when the crowd and umpires are against them?

Finishing top 2 to avoid that until GF day is critical.

I don't think GWS have progressed at all from last year.. but if things fall their way they might not have had to improve at all.

Sydney will need some luck from where they are coming from.

Richmond and Geelong are just as good a chance as the crows imo and it comes down to their run through the finals.

Port and Essendon can do some damage but won't make it to the big day.

Geelong to beat Adelaide in the GF. Or Sydney to beat Geelong. So hard to call this year.
If we meet Geelong we will take them. They won't be able to shut down transition on a wide ground like they like to do against us.

Sydney I would not be confident. Would require some individual brilliance

If we make top 4 I want to avoid playing crows in Adelaide, I think we'd struggle against them. Get to 3rd spot or 2nd and have cats at the g, we'll be in it right up to our eyeballs.

if Richmond can manage to manoeuvre into a final against Geelong at the MCG I can see them getting to a prelim.

I'd like us to play them in Adelaide though!

The only three GF scenarios I see right now are:

Adelaide v Geelong - Geelong win
Sydney v Adelaide - Sydney win
Sydney v Geelong - Sydney win

I think home finals are more important than ever this year, especially with the poor level of umpiring the competition is currently experiencing. Once we know the finals draw we will be able to make predictions more accurately.

Personally I would like our chances against Geelong in a grand final , less so in a prelim at the G.
