Finn Callaghan certainly not on projected talent but a player I see as a massive risk regarding retention.

Oh man, I hope the clubs see the same risk (or he says as much in the interviews). Low act IMO but would mean he gets to Hawthorn as the first Vic club (after Nth who will pick JHF).

Given how hard clubs appear to have gone to try and trade for pick 2 to get him, that seems very unlikely though.

Motlop at 20.

Been linked by various media phantoms to north at our second pick.

I think we need to devote draft capital like this to the backline. And whilst it’s true that we need a fun small forward too, I don’t believe that’s Motlop.

We're strongly linked to Hugh Stagg. He seems just fine, but I'd prefer a specialist small forward rather than a small mid who can swing forward sometimes (we've got two of those already who aren't consistently best 22), and I'd prefer a tall backman over a small forward.

I don't want Wanganeen-Milera at 9 (11). He looks like a gorgeous kick, but he's not overly quick and he appears very outside. Probably has the most bust potential of all the players linked to our pick.

That’s the reason I hope you guys or bombers take him as I don’t think he’s worth pick 12 for Port either. Doesn’t really meet any big need for us either.

Yep, fair to say 95% of our board is lukewarm on NWM compared to other players around our picks. I wonder how much Twomey being enamoured by him has built him up to the typical media pundit. We aren't a club who can risk first round picks.

Wanganeen-Milera. Seems great for the position he plays, but Port need a quick inside/balanced mid. Plus, we're getting Jase Burgoyne as a father-son, so we're already getting someone similar to NWM.
