Give them all 4 more years, and alot of these will be starting to hit their prime. Half have all ready shown what kind of potential was seen in them when drafted, however the jusry is still out on watts, vickery, brown, johnston and cordy.

Hurley or Naitanui 2 of the hardest positions on the field, both will be stars. You can have the mids, they are in every draft.
Champion key position players and rucks make the biggest dif in a game.

To go with our 2 young guns from that draft (Sidebottom & Beams) I would take Stephen Hill.

He will be one of the best pure wingman/ goal kicking mid going around in 3-4 years time.

Then we could have a centreline of:

I assume that's a joke? If you really want a defender Hurley is streets ahead of Schoenmakers- and will remain so for the rest of their careers.
Hwo do you know this? Are hanging around both clubs inner sanctums and watching their development?

Plus how can say how good a key position player will be after only 2 years in the system with any great surety? Don't KPP take longer to develop and peak around 25-26?

Good point- it is speculation. But saying that Hurley will be better is a far more logical conclusion to come to- and less risky. Schoenmakers has shown a bit, but Hurley has shown a lot. Schoenmakers has a lot to work on before you would consider taking him over Hurley.

Perhaps 'streets ahead for their whole careers' was a bit over the top, but Hurley is definitely ahead now and shows no signs of letting that change.

That is true, but Hurley is a KKP and streets ahead already, can play at both ends and kick both feet 50+m with high efficiency, and has won games for the Bombers in his first 20 games, 1 in defence and 1 up forward. monstered Tredrea and Riewoldt while in defence and Killed Hawthorns final chances in his 9th game.
Hurley will take some serious beating, If anyone ends up better the Hurley in this draft, it would be a super effort.

I know. Hurley looks a lot better at the moment. From all reports though Schoenmakers will come good in a big way. Suppose we will just have to wait and see :)

Beams is an interesting one, a few potential paths to pursue, capable of becomming the next Milne, or maybe Modra, or a Montagna.

I do like hill, just out of pure talent and speed. will be a superstar, i can see him winning a game off his own boot. When it comes to Hurley though, we can all ready see that game winning ability, looks like he is capable of not only winning off his own boot, but is also capable of dragging his side back into the game. looks like a future leader to me.

I am really suprised that know one voted for rich, showed pure class in his first yr and has a kick that is comparable to buckleys. He is the future of the lions midfield. only his second yr yipps got the better of him.

At this stage it's Hill or Hurley but there's some great talent amongst the also rans. Can't understand why Sidebottom wasn't included.
