JK or Hawk kicks seven on Phil Davis in the condition he was in on that day. Definitely not a good reference point for Riewoldts ability

that would have to be Hawkins PB

Actually quite a surprise that Tomahawk has never kicked more than 7. Appreciate he is a selfless forward, but every gun forward has a day out from time to time where they feast

Hell, JK on his way to the nursing home kicked 8 last week

Jack did it in bad teams, he did it in good teams! Kicked bags in grand finals! Has the most goals. Doesn't rely on being big and ugly like Hawkins. Smart, crafty, triple premiership legend!

Hawkins will probably overtake Riewoldt for total goals though. Only about 30 behind, and Jack is slowing down fast, Hawkins looks like he hasn't missed a beat.

Jacks ability to adapt his role, carry a s**t team, play sole KPF in a GF, literally re-invent himself makes him the standout in my bias opinion.

Hawkins is a freak, and to think he has possibly improved in his twilight is scary, splitting him and jack is hard to do without some level of bias.

Kennedy was a gun, but less strings to his bow in what is a team sport.

This conversation is an insult to Jack Riewoldt

Riewoldt is way way classier, a better mark, a better kick, more creative and way more decorated.

Riewoldt will go down in history as one of the greatest KPF ever.

Not only has he kicked more goals,

he has 3 Colemans vs 1 ( Hawkins kicked 49 in the covid year)

2 best and fairest vs 1 ( and he had to beat dustin martin to win them )

and he has done it in crap teams with terrible delivery, and champion teams adjusting his game for the greatest ever, all while being 5cm shorter and 10 kg lighter.

Riewoldt also has a much better finals record .

History will judge this debate as a non contest, it is not even close.

Not surprised a vic who would’ve rarely watched Kennedy has that opinion.

Kennedy had by far the best forward pressure of the three, and only buddy was better at kicking goals from nothing in recent years.

He’s comfortably the best AFL player of the three, injuries likely robbing him of having the best career however.

Not surprised that a Western Australian would cry foul over their player being rated below Victorians either :)

False. Jack averages more tackles per game and one percenters than Kennedy. Also averaged more goal assists, inside 50's, and contested marks. Yes, Kennedy was a great forward. Jack was a better player than Kennedy as Jack could also work up the ground and be effective. The stats indicate that Kennedy was far less effective at this than Jack.

In order of Jack, Hawkins and Kennedy, I'd rate them in that order.

Jack for me is number 1. Not ahead of Hawkins by much, but has often done it without help or quality around him. Also probably the least injury prone out of the lot, which factors in. Plus the 3 Colemans help.

Hawkins in and out of a team in his first 2 seasons that won 44 of 50 games.

Hawkins playing a bit parts role, including 2nd ruck for the next 3 seasons.

Hawkins finally played as a permanent forward from the 2011 finals and onwards.

107 goals in his first 79 games @ 1.35 goals per game.

Once he moved to permanent forward.

630 goals in his next 252 games @ 2.5 goals per game.

Kennedy's is even better if you take out the first 2 seasons at Carlton when he was played as a defender.

Riewoldt straight into a team that finished last, 9th, 2nd last and 2nd last.

One thing to keep in mind is the physical advantages both Hawkins & Kennedy had over Riewoldt.

Especially Hawkins he is a monster and could easily push away most defenders 1v1.
Riewoldt had he's leap at his peak & had to judge the flight of the ball better than his opponents usually to beat them.

All 3 seemed very good on the lead from what I've seen.

Jack probably the most athletic, Hawkins the strongest and Kennedy in between.
