Who has REALLY been the better team?

Essendon hasn't lost a game and they've almost broken all the records in the book. They've kicked more goals and so on. There defence is better than any team in the comp and they have a huge task of picking their forwards as they are all great. I go for a different team but i'm just stating the facts.NOTHING can really equal with them. They are invincible......

Well there is no doubt the Bombers are the best team.

But the best team doesn't necessarily win the Grand Final.

I'll bet the AFL is praying that Essendon win the Grand Final. It would be utterly ridiculous and an embarassment for the AFL if another team won the GF and claimed, due to that win, that they are they years best team.

The AFL will be humiliated if Essendon don't win. It will make the AFL look stupid for not recognising top spot, and clerly the AFL's most consistently outstanding team (Essendon), and it will also make the GF winners (if they are not Essendon) a laughing stock, as no one will give them any credit. People will be calling them a bunch of flukes, since Essendon was clearly the years best.

Hopefully, the Bombers can save the AFL the embarassment. Let's hope a "one day" wonder team doesn;t ruin would should be a Bomber premiership. This utterly ridiculour aspect of ignoring the Home and Away season, even though it comprise 95% of the season has to be stopped, and stopped form 2001 onwards. Reward the top team

If Essendon don't win the flag, They will be the most humiliated. The winners would say some patronising claptrap but their Name would go down in history

Remember Fitzroy came last but won the flag once

Dan24, You Are Right* The AFL and eventual premiers would be a laughing stock and essendon would be humilated if the Bombers don't win The GF This Year, EXCEPT If the BLUES win, the afl would say "see carlton played alot of football much better than essendon this year and that is why the won the GF.
