Hasn't this been done before?
Someone always says Essendon has X number, and then someone says Collingwood has Y number and then 20 other people will dispute those figures, and then someone who supports another club will say "we have more supporters than both those teams", and then it'll regress into a shouting match.
Both are clubs with a successful history, a fine tradition and a very large, passionate fan base. Can't we just leave it at that?

Who cares?
What matters is how many supporters turn up to games, and it is statistically proven that Collingwood has a higher average attendance then Essendon in the last seven years.
It doesn't matter anyway, Essendon have been successful, we have been crap. Success is what matters most.
