Tigers with just a minor 30-year down period. And then, yeah, back at it with 3 flags, two back to back, for about a half-decade run... So you're saying a period of Hawthorn dominance and we'll be seeing the Tigers back up some time around the mid-to-late 2040s maybe?

I really like the prospects for the Windsors in the UK, I think they’ve safely seen off the challenges to their reputation from M.Markle and Andrew for now.
In the US, we haven’t seen true greatness since the (almost) Kennedys in the 60s and the Carringtons and Bushes in the 80s and 90s. The Clintons went close but alas in 2016 it wasn’t to be.
The Kims in North Korea look invincible and in Turkmenistan they’re always wondering when the next Niyazov will arrive.
For the gold standard though you can’t go past the Japanese royal family. An unbroken line of premierships since 660BC, kicked off by their immortal centre half forward and captain Jimmu, nicknamed Jimmo. With no end in sight to their ongoing dominance. That’s class.

It’s very rare, Geelong has had one dynasty in 120 years on VFL/AFL? VFA they dominated a bit more?

To have a dynasty, you need a highly talented list, with key players under 30, and a brilliant coach.
Hawks have the potential, but a lot needs to go right. Swans the only team with an elite coach and elite, young list. Giants and GC also have that potential.

Nobody as the interstate clubs are dominating the top end of the ladder and they can’t win 3 flags at the MCG.

Hawks and Tigers historically seem to win in clusters and create dynasties. Clubs like Cats, Pies etc sprinkle flags here and there but cannot win b2bs in the modern era. You guys also had a 44 year drought which seems like a possibility again due to the fact you won’t be able to assemble teams like 07,09,11 Cats again.

It’s an observable fact and downfall of the North Melbourne list.
It’s also quite literally why Clarkson was talking about bringing in 1-2 senior players to lead the way.

Had been their best year in a long time with their losses been about where they should be at this stage:
- three first rounders coming in this year
Young forward line, young midfield, and the backline has the best 4 - 6 years ahead of it.
Hayden Young probably gets missed a bit on the east coast but this kid is an absolute star in the making.
Fyfe and Walters to retire at the end of next year and anything is possible after that, could have a really solid 4 - 8 years ahead of it if it gets the draft, trades right.

Let the hawks do more than make it to 7th & get bombed out of finals week one before giving them dynasty calls. Lack of good KPF & a weak defence as far as KPD will see them short of the mark unless Dear develops a lot, and they make wise calls in trades, free agency & such.
GWS has every chance to do so over the next couple of years. No reason why Swans can't do a few years at the top, if they win this year, it'll be a grand final in 22', 24' Flag & from there a sustained run would see a potential dynasty.

Obviously Hawthorn (again), apart from that I would of said GWS, but I don't think Toby can lead them there. Most likely knock some one out and send the club into disrepute.

I'm not sure we'll see many more dynasties in this modern era of equalisation.
Everything is so even these days.

Post WW2! after which you for the next 40 years you could just buy a premiership with your cheque book!! Understand that the world has changed Richmond.
The landscape has changed so much since the 80's that it's almost anti dynasty unless you can fluke so many things aligning.
We now have 6,7,8 more teams since those longed for good old VFL days. Nasty things like drafts, salary caps, soft caps, inequitable fixtures - all these things make it harder to sustain success.
Hawks obviously after this season, Dogs looking dangerous, think Crows will rise in next couple of seasons, still life left in the Swans, GWS and Brisbane.
Gold Coast dripping with talent and plenty more on the way, could they finally click?
Richmond hahaha, are a club that looks to be in real trouble and the Tasmania entry looming to gut a couple of drafts just as they look to rebuild. Winning the Spoon in a year when for the first time ever you can throw a blanket over the top 8-10 draftees. Only get more good picks by letting go their best players. No finals this decade for Tiges!

Walsh/Curnow from Carlton could be targets.
Rinse and repeat every 3-4 years. Good on them for getting the secret to staying competitive perpetually.

Rule out North. Making finals this decade is still no certainty. Before 2027 certainly not. Contending before 2029 certainly not.
The might be some midfield talent, but that's a year or more off being able to play out a season and almost everywhere else has gaps that will take multiple years to fill. And even in midfield there's zero depth.
2025 won't be a lot better than this year, even if Logue can play more than 2-3 games and there are more than three key position players on the park. 2026 might be a climb but not to finals. 2027 is probably still not finals.
