Sorry Mick but I don't agree. I think that the pies will play in September but I also think that this season will be a closer one all around. I think the gaps between the better sides and the lower sides are smaller. I think there will be a few "easier" games but not as many for each team. I think those teams with homeground advantage (strangely the same that get concessions) will be hard to beat into the finals, but I tink that the pies will be one that do.
To lift- Lonie, Richards, Cloke, O'Bree
to be there every game- ARoc, Taz (as a scoring option, I think that he is there each week), King Cole, Josh (not just in the finals).
The big improvers- Cole and dids, although I think "Hollywood" Woewodin will be much better and much harder than last year.

Licuria is only 25/26 years old. Last year he was in a more attacking role with Lokan and Holland doing the tagging (Lokan tagged the elusive flanker while Holland tagged a small dangerous midfielder). There is room for 2 taggers as long as one can also be dangerous, which both Licuria and Holland can do. Port go alright with 3 taggers, K. Cornes, Carr and occasionly Cochrane. We can cope by rotating around with Licuria, Holland and Lokan/Nixon.
Like I have said before I am confident Holland can become a great midfielder, and could be in for a big year in 2004. He improved dramatically in 2003, going from a cold forward to a solid tagger who can hurt his oponent both literally and and terms of getting the ball. He can also play a small defender or a small forward.

Disagree there but its irrelevant now - Tarrant was far from our worst in 2003 while Lica was poor in 2002 (better than Davis, Davis, and Molloy though!!!!!)

Just on Molloy for a sec, I htought he quit due to injury but now I hear he'w running around in the amo's. Was it an injured heart string?

What a great bunch of supporters you are. If anyone owes it's all of you. I can tell you, I've enjoyed the last couple of years. We may have lost the big one but it beats finishing bottom. If Licuria is finished that's where we could end up.

Licuria isnt finished but we aren't going to get any more out of him. He's not the future of the club and this thread is about players who are due to go to the next level - Licca ain't.
