I will try, it's at an absolute **** of a time of the day and week for me, and with most businesses in the area not closing until 5-5.30, I think parking near the ground at 4 pm will also be a nightmare.

Spidey / Darky

Are you talking about the family day next week at Colonial, or if its something else can you provide details??

thanks

The family day is on Monday, 19th March, 4 pm at Arden St, according to posters on the official site Phorum.

I don't know if it's a rescheduling of the thing at Colonial, or if it's a separate function.

Ill be at both. This Saturday there is a bbq and speach from Dennis and Wayne before the game with the festivities kicking off at 5.30. For autographs etc.

There was a flyer on the desk last wed when I was there. I think we will get a copy in the mail this week .

It is for real

The thing at 4pm - I'll show up around 5pm, but who knows if they will still be there?

As for the thing with Denis and the players before this Saturday nights, game, maybe.

Its a stupid time, 4.00 pm on a weeknight, how are those people who work (the ones who can spend money and buy memberships supposed to attend.

I would like to go but can't at this time. Why not a Sunday?

I will find it difficult to get to the family day on a Monday night. But I would love to catch up with you guys this Saturday.

I was at the AGM tonight and greg miller answered this question

Basically the cricket is still going on as the roos are in the finals of the 2nds so therefore the ground would be needed on the weekend.

Thanks PaulKanga.

I don't know why they won't choose another venue then. It doesn't necessarily have to be the zoo, but surely they can get somewhere else.

The answer given at the AGM last night was that they were anticipating cricket finals being scheduled at Arden Street on that weekend.

As it turns out, there probably will not be finals played there but Miller & co didn't want to take any chances.

Its possible perhaps that it could have been a financial issue in using the Melbourne Zoo again. I wonder?
