For me its been hard to find someone outstanding. Cripps was an early favorite then fell away after being tagged. Has Lachie Neale proven himself?
I think Brisbane winning most games will help Neale who was a fairly consistent vote getter at Freo. Has had a great year. Cripps won't be too far away either. It's going to be a crazy good brownlow to watch

Like last year very open season... You would think Neale would be picking up a lot of Brownlow votes since he came to the club they have pretty much improved out of sight to a finals contender, Cripps should pick up a fair few 3 vote games missed 2 games but that should not hurt him too much you would think the lack of wins might, although the blues are winning towards the end of the season he could come home hard. Tim Kelly dropped off a fair bit and is competing against Dangerfield, Ablett and Selwood for votes.

Before the mandatory laughter let me say Tom Mitchell won five of these categories when he won his
Brownlow Medal, now to keep it real i am not going to tell you which five categories they were. No
clues given, but one man is top five or number one in ALL of those categories and he plays for a team
very high up on the ladder and headed for finals.

Any love for Dusty?

Won it 2017, 19 votes last year in a quiet year. Richmond winning plenty of games and Cotchin, Rance, Riewoldt have all missed footy. Has 40 odd coaches votes.

Suspended, and thus ineligible.

That said, most of BF agrees he's no good anyway.

Stephen Coniglio should be the 2019 Brownlow Medal winner, but will lead until the half way mark of the
season until they swept the knee, played 15 Games 14 of which were uninjured and 9 games were elite
in the 3 vote spectrum. Bet responsibly ;) (L.U.Y.M.F's)

Big name off-season recruit, meaning the umpires are well aware of him.

Cleanskin player who doesn’t abuse or complain to umpires.

Gets a lot of ball despite being heavily (and illegally) tagged most weeks.

His new team have won most games.

Bobs up for goals.

Problem with quoting stats is that the umpires don’t look at them....

Yes, Neale is the clear favourite. Only Bont can stop him (or a ridiculous final 4 games from Cripps).
