Without question, the 2 best players in the AFL are Dusty and Danger, however which team is more reliant on them.

There has been a lot of talk about Geelong being a one man team in recent times. However, Dangerfield hasent really had that much of an impact in any game this year - Geelong even won in Round 1 without him. Even with a lot of injuries, Geelong have been able to remain competitive relying on their kids.

The conversation probably needs to revert to Richmond being very reliant on Dusty. He kicks most of their goals and you could argue that without him, they would be a pretty average team.

Richmond have far better bookends in Riewoldt and Rance. So Geelong.

They are more of a 3 man team than a 1 man team. Danger, Selwood and Hawkins.

Danger isn't in Dusty's league at this point in time.

You could make an argument for several players being better than Dangerfield.

When kicking is the most important skill in the game, it's amazing how Danger constantly butchering the ball gets glossed over.

Richmond have a decent backline, Geelongs is a lot more questionable, so if they were both to sit out a season, I think Richmond are more equipped to cope compared to Geelong

Dangerfield didn't really have an impact on the weekend and Geelong still won. If you take out Franklin from Sydney's team then no doubt they would've lost to the Bulldogs and Eagles. Franklin has carried the Swans to this point and they would be sitting with a 1-3 record without him.

The correct answer, comp-wide, is West Coast and Naitanui

It's 100% Franklin, he was the point of difference between the Bulldogs & Swans on the weekend and it was the same case against the Eagles

If the conversation is purely Danger vs Dusty, then I'd have to say Geelong are more reliant on Danger.

Richmond share the ball well with one another, which doesn't necessarily rely on Dusty doing anything specific.

That said however, if you were to compare OUTs wholistically, then one could argue that Geelong hold up well; their current list is decimated with injuries and yet they continue to compete.

And yet they made thec 8 and won a tough EF without him. I'm not saying you're wrong but it's troubling

Read the OP. It’s not about who is better, it’s about which team is more reliant on their best player.

I'm not even sure Dusty is the right person in this conversation. I'd say Rance.

Because like Chris Judd he is a very dynamic player who looks good.

Give me Sam Mitchell any day over those 2.

Dusty was fairly quiet when we played them the other week but Rance just killed us.

Chris Judd was a great ball user. Poor example.

Geelong would be. Richmond have better depth and more even contributors across the ground

Don't count that EF as a win. That was port throwing a 60 point win away.
