I'll say Kieren Jack. When he plays well, we're much better at converting our midfield dominance into scores.

He and Hanners are the missing link.

If they both play well, very well, this team will be nigh on unstoppable until they ruin into a full strength GWS.

SwansProudly got it about right though. It is a team not individuals some just are more handy than others but core group named just pick themselves and to be honest there is not much to worry about at selection time other than an extra tall or small and the last guy picked.

We have the full list available for all intents and purposes.

Should see what our true best 22 is tonight bar AJ regaining fitness and form

According to Longmire, as quoted by Roos, it's Rampe.

I guess the most important player is the one you would miss the most. We seem to be able to cover Kennedy and Buddy, but we don't have anyone who can cover what Rampe does.

Kennedy. Your best player is your most important player. Proof? Look at the B&F results over the past 7 years, look at who performs in finals and when the chips are down. Has almost single handedly carried the side at times. Take Kennedy out of the last 7 years and the results probably change more dramatically for the worse than if you took out any other player.

There is literally no correct answer.

Take away Kieren Jack, our midfield struggles to move the ball forward with pace.

Take away JPK, and we sacrifice one of our two most creative mids in Hanners and Parker to win that first contested ball.

Take away Hanners, and probably half of our goals/attacking forays don't happen.

Take away Parker, and we lose a bloke who will get ran over by a steamroller to win the footy.

Take away Heeney, and we lose that flexibility of being able to rotate a star mid through the forward line or vice versa.

Take away Lloyd, and we lose that crucial run and setting up of plays on the half back line and wing.

Take away Sir Dane, and we lose our sweeper who can clear the dangerous area in the blink of an eye without ******* it up.

Take away Grundy, and we lose our strongest physical player, a guy who makes Buddy seem like a fairy and Alex Rance seem like Zac Dawson.

Take away (peak fitness) McVeigh, and we lose a defensive chief who can rack up over 20 touches at 100% DE (!!!)

Take away Buddy, and we lose one of the greatest ever players and a forward good for multiple goals pretty much every game (give or take).

Take away Papley or Rohan, and we lose that crucial pressure and creativity at ground level and around goals.

etc.

In other words, we do not need this thread.. we're not Geelong.
