Now's the time of year everyone seems to boast about how great their club's list manager is, so let's settle the question once and for all.

P.S. Am I wrong to expect huge vote counts for Dodoro & Silvagni, in keeping with their elevated media status?

Wright or Wells. Ambrogio also worthy of a mention....Dodoro not so much...

Ffs ... tigers just win a flag with 7 players who started S rookies and the first xategiry b rookie ever to win one. They had early picks in comprimised drafts and have picked up well from other clubs... houli, grigg, pretia, lynch, caddy, nanker is... their guy right in the convrsation

The targeted recruiting has been pretty good, Grigg, Houli, Prestia, Caddy, Nankervis, Lynch all vital to the recent success and if you add up what we got compared to what we paid its great value.

Id also say weve been excellent with player retention. Havent really lost any that weve really wanted to keep.

Might not be the best but definetely worth a nomination.

Sam Power has done brilliantly the last couple of years. Dogs haven't lost anyone of importance under his watch, has signed the majority of our best players on long term deals (really only Bontempelli left to extend long term) and has patched holes in the list through smart recruiting (Bruce + Keath for relatively little). Hasn't been in the job long enough to be considered among the best, but he's definitely had a great first couple of years in the top job

David Noble was a good crows list manager and left the crows in 2016.

He goes to Brisbane at the start of 2017 and has done well over there. Yet his name isnt on the list.
He's not our designated list manager although he does help out Stephen Conole and Dom Ambrogio.

Only butler looks like a fail but it's unknown if he'll continue to kick butt or fall back to the back.

Corona -season may suit his style

To be fair when youve got multiple AAs and a host of other guns, losing Dan Butler is not what I'd consider a fail of player retention. That's not the type of player the list management team are charged with finding a way of keeping.
