But they didn’t. It wasn’t Melbourne missing kicks at the end and Collingwood falling over the line. It was Melbourne dominating for long periods early, Collingwood doing enough to stay in touch and Melbourne missing shots then. From
Half time it was clear Melbourne’s shot at blowing the game open had gone. A new game started. And they still had a head start in that one. And Collingwood ran them down. It was great football.

A little bit of luck helps, but for me they just know how to play and win the close games when they're on the line. It's no fluke, they just keep getting it done and taking the most of their opportunities overall. There will be criticism about their percentage but I reckon they deserve to be top 2 when they know how to win regardless of the margin. Good on them I say.
