Bird has the advantage (as do most of the guys from the 80s, and from the 90s to a lesser extent), that no one watched many games. So, it's all legend.

That's not to say that Bird didn't hit big shots (he did), but no one replays any misses (like they do for today's players).

Steph has 10 of the top 24 spots of 3 pointers made in NBA history.

He has none of the top 11 most three pointers taken (He's never taken more than 20, despite having made 10 or more on 19 occasions).

I believe Bird has hit more game winner shots than MJ but still the way bird would tell opponents literally where he was going to shoot and it was going in no matter what they did they weren't stopping him I mean can't go past Bird.
Well that's just not true.

Bird made 4 buzzer beaters in his NBA career. Im talking actual buzzer beaters to win a game. Either down 1 or 2 points or the game is tied and your shot leaves no time left on the clock. Bird has four of those in his career.

Jordan to nobody's surprise is the all time leader in this statistic with 9.

I just take from this that everyone else was superior so they had the game won before needing a final shot to win.

Stephen Curry has three games this season with at least seven off-the-dribble 3-pointers, according to Second Spectrum. The rest of the NBA has one such game combined.

Forgot about Mark Price.

NBA should have a vets 3P contest on the all star weekend. I would happily watch all these old guys have a crack
