Rockliff is pretty good. Mumford and Merrett too.
Priddis is about the only person I saw to make quality tackles stick on both Dusty and Fyfe on the reg. Not fast or fancy but by the gods that man could put a vice like tackle on anyone and come out the winner.
Darcy Parish ^_^
Damn, i never player at the elite level, but i loved to tackle.
I cant recall Dusty ever actually tackling anyone.. ever
On SM-G925I using BigFooty.com mobile app
More tackles per game than e.g. West Coast's b&f winner.
If the thread's about most effective/hard and not most prolific - Nic Naitanui, by a long way. If he catches you, you are in a world of hurt.
One from left field- Jacob Townsend.
Isn't Nahas' tackle quite a thing to behold?
Townsend has knocked himself out laying tackles before. I rate his attack though.
Priddis' massive hands help.
Yeh - not a very transparent attempt at another 'Cyril is great' thread.
Bit like the Richmond 'Who is the best/worst' threads being started this week.
Media probably say it's Joel Selwood as his the greatest tough man to play the game.
Steele is very good and always has been. I actually think Jake Barrett was better as a tackler with us. Steele has other attributes though.
I was at this game and will always remember this tackle.
Cyril and Tippa both have excellent techniques when you consider how often they attack a player from behind yet almost never get called for in the back.
