Pardon?

I've stayed on topic, you just came in here and made the thread about ME. Do you not remember what you wrote?

Let me keep it on topic some more:

1. do you agree that TJ gives Brady Rawlings a lot of trouble?
2. do you agree that JMac was the best tagger over the course of 2006?

I'm giving you a chance here, a chance to not be viewed as an idiot who is, for some unknown reason, completely threatened by me. Did somebody defecate in your corn flakes this morning? Was it me?

Given that choice, I will choose to be viewed as a frightened idiot. See you at the next hijacking.:thumbsu:

Well, at least there's no misconception about you. See you the next time you decide to try and turn a topic into discussion about me :thumbsu:

TJ doesn't kick heaps, but he sets up a truckload. Yeah Yze always seems to play well against North and Richmond for some reason, got no idea why.

10 goals a year is shocking for a guy of his skill who has guys like McLean in there winning the ball for him. Same applies to Wells - 11 is not enough. These guys should be kicking 20 in their bad years - regardless of their assists.

I rate Rawlings as a blue collar stopper, definitely. I thik he struggles on the "smart" footballer though. When it's a physical contest or down to endurance he usually wins.

Nup. Has shut down Judd, Buckley, Burgoyne, Edwards - does it every year and these are smart footballers. Maybe you have a point if you mean he struggles a bit more tagging the guy who skirts the packs a bit more. Likes to close check his opponent.

JMac was always known as being very underrated for a reason, the fact he got some more accolades this year didn't mean it was completely one out of the box. He improved slightly, but I think it was mroe down to teh fact he had more support from Brock, Bartram, Jones, Bate and Sylvia instead of relying on the plastic gangster faction of Green and Bruce.

Your improved midifeld would have had a big effect, but I reckon he improved a lot more than slightly. I wouldn't have rated him in your top 10 in any of the past 5 years - I might be wrong, but usually I am right.

1. You have to remember Melbourne have a lot of firepower up forward with Neitz, Yze, Pickett, Davey, Robertson and about 5 or 6 others all capable of taking the 6th spot.

2. Johnstone doesn't particularly skirt the packs, well, at least not exclusively - he often gets to the ball early, but only because with our lack of inside players before this year he simply didn't have a choice, his natural position is definitely outside (and who can blame him when he kicks the way he does). I agree Brady definitely needs that body contact to be at his best, all teh other guys you mentioned are more prolific clearance winners than Johnstone, and hence more prone to close checking, by a fair margin too I'd wager.

3. JMac has had top 5 finishes in our BnF before, he's absolutely adored around the club and among our fans, and prior to this year most other fans in the comp had little idea of who he even was.

In relation to Rawlings vs Baker, I'd take Rawlings every time - Baker got huge wraps following the EF for shutting down Davey - I thought it was a joke, I mean, he scragged a 65kg forward pocket for most of the game and they were talking as if he made some huge difference - and he can't kick at all. At least Rawlings has a moderate level of skill and can damage a team the other way. Stenglein is particularly damaging on the rebound though, but he isn't as good a stopper as Baker or Rawlings.

It's Rawlings eeeeasliy.

Anybody who says otherwise is an A grade bufoon.

This bloke has pwned the likes of West, Black, Edwards, Corey, Crouch, Burgoyne and Judd.

Who else does this week in week out?

Anyone who says otherwise probably isn't a biased Kangaroos supporter...:thumbsd:

This is Judd's profile, check out his stats vs Kangaroos. I'd hardly call it pure pwnage by Brady Rawlings :thumbsd: I'll check out the other teams profiles too if you like.

Judd beat Rawlings in our last game.

In the previous 3 encounters over 2006/2005/2004 he has held him to 21, 16, 15 and he hasn't kicked a goal on him since 2003.

Actually - prior to this year Judd had never got over 17 possesions against Rawlings

But we won't let any truth get in the way of his good yarn nonetheless will we? ;) :thumbsu:

I would hardly say keeping someone to 15 possessions is a spanking. Keep someone to 9 or 8 is pretty good, or when we played a team later in the year (I can't remember who it was) Kerr was kept to just 4 touches. Not THAT'S a pwning, not keeping someone to 'just' 15 touches. That's an average return considering probably 2 3rds of the players in the league don't even average 15 possessions.

And Judd kicked a goal in the 21 possession game he had earlier this season, though I'm going to jump the gun and assume you'll say that Rawlings wasn't on him when he kicked it, eh?
